A ternary composite material includes a scaffold formed of carbon nanotubes (CNT), a first layer of zeolitic imidazolate 8 (ZIF-8) crystals formed on the scaffold of the CNT, and a second layer of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) flakes formed on the first layer of the ZIF-8 crystals. An electrode can be formed with the ternary composite. A supercapacitor may include one or more electrodes that are at least partly formed of the ternary composite material.     Abstract: A novel multi-modal audio video framework is disclosed. The framework advantageously leverages both audio and video information to accurately detect whether the video has been manipulated, e.g., detect whether the video is a so-called ‘deepfake.’ In a video-only pipeline, the framework adopts a vision encoder having a feature extractor and a Transformer encoder that leverages self-attention mechanisms to detect artifacts in a facial region of the video. Additionally, in a separate audio-video pipeline, the framework adopts an audio+lip encoder having a Transformer encoder that leverages cross-attention mechanisms to identify discrepancies between lip movements of the person and words spoken by the person in the video. These two modalities are used jointly to make an inference as to whether the video has been manipulated.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a system and methods for measuring electrochemical state of rechargeable batteries such as state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH). In various aspects, the system may include an inductive coil attached to the battery and a battery current sensor. Alternating current with a fixed frequency is applied to the coil to generate magnetic fields, and the magnetic fields induce losses including Eddy current loss and a loss related to battery currents. The system compensates for the effect of the loss related to battery currents for battery electrochemical state estimation. In another aspect, the system uses both coil-based measurement and ampere hour counting (AHC) measurement for SoC measurement. The system conducts coil-based SoC measurement only occasionally to reset the accumulated error of AHC-based SoC measurement. In yet another aspect, the system combines coil-based measurement with other measurements.

A mobile device is configured to survey an environment to generate a three-dimensional map of the environment using simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) techniques. The mobile device and the stationary devices are equipped with wireless transceivers, such as Ultra-wideband radios, for measuring distances between the devices using wireless ranging techniques. Based on the measured distances, the mobile device is configured to determine locations of the stationary devices in a reference frame of the three-dimensional map. In some embodiments, the determined locations can be used to enable a variety of spatially aware augmented reality features and interactions between the mobile device and the stationary device.
