Abstract: Improved powdered hard surface cleaning compositions, having good dry flow properties and minimal caking are provided. Preferred compositions comprise one or more surfactants especially anhydrous or powdered anionic surfactants providing good foaming, calcium carbonate, and may exclude one or both of alkali or alkali metal bicarbonates, and known-art anti-caking constituents based on silica particles including colloidal silicas, fumed silicas, precipitated silicas and silica gels.
Abstract: Improved treatment blocks useful in the treatment of lavatory appliances, particularly toilets are provided. The improved treatment blocks are solid block compositions which comprise at least one detersive surfactant, a hydrocarbon solvent constituent, and one or more further optional constituents, including bleach constituents. The improved treatment blocks provide improved processing and handling characteristics. Methods of producing the solid block composition and treatment blocks therefrom, as well as methods of use are also disclosed.

Abstract: Thickened acidic film forming hard surface cleaning and disinfecting compositions which are particularly useful in the cleaning of ceramic surfaces, especially lavatory surfaces.
Abstract: Foamed two-part hard surface treatment composition which is formed by the admixture of two aqueous compositions, particularly (a) an aqueous alkaline composition comprising a bleach constituent, with (b) an aqueous acidic composition comprising a peroxide constituent, which compositions are kept separate, but which are admixed immediately prior to use or upon use to form a foamed hard surface treatment composition. The foamed two-part hard surface treatment composition are particularly useful in the cleaning of hard surfaces. Preferred foamed two-part hard surface treatment composition provide both a cleaning and sanitizing or disinfecting benefit to hard surfaces, while releasing little or no free chlorine gas to the ambient air.

Abstract: An enzyme-containing laundry booster composition in which the enzyme is stabilized by a system comprising a boron compound, an alkali metal salt of an aliphatic hydroxydi- or hydroxylic-carboxylic acid and an alkali metal chloride. A preferred additional stabilizing ingredient is a C8–C18 alcohol alkoxylated with about 3 to 6 moles of ethylene oxide.

Abstract: The present invention provides for a method of dosing treating agents into a washing machine in particular sequences so that only one treating agent is dosed at one time. This avoids interaction of incompatible treating agents as well as provide for better cleaning as now one treating agent can perform without interference from other treating agents typically found in washing machines.
