    Abstract: A continuously rotating electric motor includes a rotor provided with permanent magnets and a stator formed by two coils in which, when the rotor is rotating, two induced voltage signals (UB1 and UB2) are respectively generated, which signals have an electric phase shift ? where 5°???90°, preferably 30°<?<65°. The control device includes a circuit for detecting intersection times (TC) at which values of the two induced voltage signals are substantially equal. The control device is arranged to generate electric driving pulses to rotate the rotor, which are respectively initiated at initiation times determined by respective intersection times, and such that the electric driving pulses can be applied to the two coils arranged in series. Preferably, the control device is arranged such that the initiation times of the electric driving pulses occur directly after detections of corresponding intersection times.

    Abstract: A method and system of measuring a radio wave distribution of a radio signal source and estimating corresponding radio characteristics by using a flying vehicle is provided. The method includes the following steps. At a number of flight positions during a measurement process, a number of first radio signals transmitted by the radio signal source are measured by the flying vehicle. A position of the radio signal source is estimated according to the first radio signals and a radio channel model. A number of first radio characteristics of the first radio signal are obtained, and a radio wave distribution of the radio signal source is estimated according to the first radio characteristics of the first radio signals and a number of second radio characteristics of a number of second radio signals in the radio wave distribution are estimated according to the first radio characteristics of the first radio signals.

    Abstract: One dimensional (1D) and two dimensional (2D) MR spectroscopy of the brain provides an objective test for pain and level of pain. There are two ways of evaluating the data. The first is conventional analysis of the 2D MRS. The second us the use of data mining methods such as testing for correlation between wavelet-based features and self-reported pain intensity, the MBDA method. Both found multiple spectral regions that were highly correlated with self-reported pain. Two of these spectral regions are consistent with changes to the recently assigned substrate ?-L Fucose and the Fuc-?(1-2) glycans in the human brain. There are common features recorded compared with prior reports using the MBDA method to evaluate pain associated with spinal cord injury and low back pain.

    Abstract: A multiple output current stimulator circuit with fast turn on time is described. At least one pair of input side and output side transistors is arranged in a current mirror connected to a supply transistor by cascode coupling. The output side transistor supplies stimulation current to an electrode in contact with tissue. An operational amplifier connected to a reference voltage and to the output side transistor drives the supply transistor to maintain the voltage at the output side transistor equal to the reference voltage. The at least one pair of transistors includes multiple pairs of transistors whose output side transistors drive respective electrodes with stimulation currents. The stimulator determines the initiation and duration of stimulation current pulses supplied to each electrode. At circuit activation, large currents are generated which discharge capacitances in the output side transistors causing rapid output side transistor turn on.
