Abstract: A flow control device for use in a heat exchange system, including: a housing, a movable valve member and a drive control member, the housing being formed to have a mounting cavity, a first interface and a second interface, while the drive control member includes a control unit, a power output unit, a magnetic element and a detection element; the power output unit provides power to the movable valve member, while the detection element and the control unit are electrically connected, and the magnetic element and the power output unit are mutually assembled and oppositely fixed, the power output unit may drive the magnetic element to rotate; the detection element and the magnetic element are oppositely disposed, the detection element being located within the range of the magnetic field of the magnetic element, the detection element may sense a magnetic pole change of the magnetic element.

Abstract: The method of producing lithium titanate anode material for lithium ion battery applications is comprising of: a) mixing of mixed phase having 60-80% anatase and 20-40% rutile of TiO2 as titanium precursor with Li2CO3 as lithium precursor in a stoichiometric ratio of 5:4 and adding with 2 to 5% stearic acid as process control agent as well as carbon precursor; b) milling in horizontal attrition milling unit maintained with the ball to powder ratio of 10:1-12:1 at 250-500 rpm for 0.5 to 2 hrs c) repeating the milling for 40 to 48 times; d) palletisation of the milled powder to a diameter of 30-35 mm under a pressure of 0.5-1 ton; e) annealing under inert atmosphere at a temperature of 700-900° C. for a period of 2-12 hrs; and f) grinding the resultant annealed composite powder to a fine powder. Resultant powder has shown excellent electrochemical properties in terms of charge-discharge, cyclic-stability and rate capability.

Abstract: Products and associated methods are described for the delivery of one or more small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) to an avian cell using a nonpathogenic bacterium for the prevention or treatment of Avian Influenza Virus (AIV). The siRNA is complementary to an mRNA of the AIV NP or PA sequence. In challenge studies with chickens, the siRNA is shown to prevent the onset of clinical symptoms or reduce the severity of disease, including reducing viral titers or virus shedding.

Abstract: An optical display system includes an information display (image-generating) component, a polarization rotator, a polarization dependent optical element, an input holographic coupler, a light guide and an output holographic coupler. By controlling the polarization of the displayed light through the polarization rotator, the polarization dependent optical element changes the viewable content to different distances from the viewer. This enables the generation of a proper light field which will then be coupled into the light guide through the input holographic coupler, and finally go through the output holographic coupler to a user's eye.
