Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition comprising an active agent that causes reduction of the level of systemic immunosuppression in an individual for use in treating a disease, disorder, condition or injury of the CNS that does not include the autoimmune neuroinflammatory disease, relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS), is provided. The pharmaceutical composition is for administration by a dosage regimen comprising at least two courses of therapy, each course of therapy comprising in sequence a treatment session followed by an interval session of non-treatment.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a conductive substrate, a perovskite substrate using the conductive substrate, and a solar cell using the perovskite substrate. The conductive substrate, the perovskite substrate, and the solar cell of the present invention include a conductive base and a conductive compound stacked on the conductive base. The conductive compound is capable of multi-electron redox reactions, possesses p-type organic molecular properties, and has an oxidation potential or highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) matching the valence band of perovskite so that holes generated in an absorber layer are selectively separated for the application of the perovskite material, achieving enhanced photoelectric conversion efficiency of the solar cell and a significantly reduced difference between the forward and reverse conversion efficiencies (hysteresis index) of the solar cell.

Abstract: A method of forecasting risk-biased trajectories of agents surrounding an ego vehicle is described. The method includes sampling a risk-neutral latent space generated by a trained encoder of a generative network based on past surrounding agent trajectories. The method also includes predicting, based on the sampling of the risk-neutral latent space, risk-neutral future surrounding agent trajectories using a trained decoder of the generative network. The method further includes sampling a risk-biased latent space distribution generated by a trained, risk-aware encoder of the generative network based on past trajectories of the ego vehicle and a risk-sensitivity. The method also includes predicting, based on the sampling of the risk-biased latent space distribution, risk-biased future surrounding agent trajectories using the trained decoder of the generative network.

Abstract: SCGB-based preparations and methods to use these preparations to protect the glycocalyx in medical, veterinary, and cosmetic applications are provided. The secretoglobins (SCGBs) are a family of small secreted globular proteins present in all mammals and sharing conserved structure and thought to share similar immunomodulatory functions. Heparan sulfate proteoglycan proteins (HSPGs) are expressed on the outer membranes of cells and have carbohydrate side chains that, together, make up the glycocalyx. The glycocalyx is a protective layer surrounding all cells, acting as a filter regulating the passage of nutrients into the cell and modifying cell signaling by external factors. There are two major families of HSPGs including syndecans and glypicans, plus several other HSPGs in all mammals. SCGBs bind to, and interact with, HSPGs to further modulate cell signaling and cellular responses to external factors.
