Abstract: A method implemented by a first time of flight (ToF) sensor includes generating, by the first ToF sensor, a first depth map in accordance with measurements of reflections of an optical signal emitted by the first ToF sensor; communicating, by the first sensor with a second ToF sensor, the first depth map and a second depth map, the second depth map generated by the second ToF sensor; and determining, by the first ToF sensor, a relative location of the first ToF sensor relative to the second ToF sensor in accordance with the first depth map and the second depth map.
Abstract: A method for calculating an altitude of a target through an apparatus for calculating an altitude of the target, which comprises a plurality of MIMO radar virtual antennas, may comprise: receiving electromagnetic waves reflected from the target through a pair of virtual antennas classified into an upper antenna and a lower antenna and alternately arranged in two columns linearly; obtaining range information and phase information of the target from the pair of virtual antennas by analyzing the electromagnetic waves; and calculating altitude information of the target from position information of the pair of virtual antennas, and the range information and the phase information.

Abstract: A method of recycling gaseous hydrocarbons includes flowing a hydrocarbon gas composition from a secondary separator into a compressor unit to form a compressed mixture. The secondary separator includes a crude liquid hydrocarbon input stream from a primary separator. The method includes flowing the compressed mixture into a cooling unit to cool the compressed mixture, to form a cooled composition comprising liquid hydrocarbons. The method includes flowing the liquid hydrocarbons from the cooled composition into the primary separator.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a carrier substrate having a front face. An electronic chip is mounted on the front face of the carrier substrate and includes an optical component. An encapsulation cover is mounted on top of the front face of the carrier substrate and bounds a chamber within which the chip is situated. A front opening extends through the cover and is situated in front of the optical component. An optical element, designed to allow light to pass, is mounted within the chamber at a position which covers the front opening of the encapsulation cover. The optical element includes a central region designed to deviate the light and having an optical axis aligned with the front opening and the optical component. A positioning pattern is provided on the optical element to assist with mounting the optical element to the cover and mounting the cover to the carrier substrate.
Abstract: A nasal tissue implant for reconstruction and tissue engineering of nasal tissue in a subject includes a tissue scaffold component comprising a biocompatible polymeric material having a plurality of open pores configured to support cell growth. The tissue scaffold component conforms to a portion of the subject's nasal region and defines at least a portion of the subject's nasal anatomy. A method of making an implantable nasal tissue implant for reconstructing a portion of a nasal anatomy of a human or other animal subject is also provided that includes laser sintering or three-dimensional (3D) printing a biocompatible polymeric material to form a tissue scaffold component comprising a biocompatible polymeric material having a plurality of open pores configured to support cell growth. Again, the tissue scaffold component substantially conforms to a nasal region specific to the human or other animal subject.

Abstract: A method for determining a performance metric based on a discharge event of a firearm is provided. A plurality of first input signals over a sample window of time from a first inertial measurement unit (IMU) configured on the first firearm are received by a first event detection module associated with the first firearm of a first user. An occurrence of a first shot discharge of the first firearm at a first time based on the plurality of first input signals is identified by the first event detection module. An occurrence of a second shot discharge of the first firearm at a second time based on the plurality of first input signals is identified by the first event detection module. A first split time is determined for the first user based on a difference between the first and second times.
Abstract: The present invention provides AAV capsid proteins comprising modification of one or a combination of the surface-exposed lysine, serine, threonine and/or tyrosine residues in the VP3 region. Also provided are rAAV virions comprising the AAV capsid proteins of the present invention, as well as nucleic acid molecules and rAAV vectors encoding the AAV capsid proteins of the present invention. Advantageously, the rAAV vectors and virions of the present invention have improved efficiency in transduction of a variety of cells, tissues and organs of interest, when compared to wild-type rAAV vectors and virions.

Abstract: A self-propelled picking vehicle for pineapples based on scraper transportation is provided and includes a baseplate, a driving mechanism, and a propelling mechanism. The driving mechanism is disposed on the baseplate, the propelling mechanism is disposed at a lower end of the baseplate, and the driving mechanism is connected to the propelling mechanism. A front end of the horizontal chain conveyor is provided with a cutting plate. The cutting plate is provided with two disk blades, outer sides of the two disk blades are provided with dividers, and a fruit protector is disposed between the two disk blades. A fruit picking mechanism is disposed on an upper end of the fruit protector. The entire process has achieved automated pineapple picking, efficiency of picking and transportation is improved, and labor intensity of fruit farmers is greatly reduced.
