Abstract: Some examples provides a set of frameworks, process and methods aimed at enabling the expression and exploration of free-form and parametric 3D shape designs enabled through natural interactions with a hand-held mobile device acting as a controller for 3D virtual objects. A reference plane in a virtual space generated by the location of the mobile device may be used to select a 3D virtual object intersected by the reference plane. Positioning of the mobile device may also be used to control a pointer in the virtual space. In an example, the orientation of the mobile device may be detected by an accelerometer or gyroscope. In example, the position of the mobile device may be detected by a position sensor.

The method includes the steps of providing an interface device operable to generate an ultrasonic beam for neuroniodulation and imaging of a targeted neural structure of a subject, implanting the interface device in the subject, and providing and disposing an external coil array over the targeted neural structure of the subject, wherein the external coil array is wirelessly powering and communicating with the interface device.
Abstract: A heater control system for a gas delivery system of a substrate processing system includes an oven, N resistive uninsulated heaters arranged inside of the oven, where N is an integer greater than one, and a controller. The oven encloses one or more components of the substrate processing system and to maintain a predetermined temperature in the oven. Each of the N resistive heaters selectively heats at least a portion of one of the components in the oven. The controller is configured to maintain the predetermined temperature in localized regions in the oven by determining a resistance in each of the N resistive heaters and adjusting power to each of the N resistive heaters based on N-1 resistance ratios of N-1 of the N resistive heaters relative to one of the N resistive heaters.
Abstract: A method is provided for determining the surface viscosity of a liquid in which a thread is formed from a drop of the liquid. The thread is lengthened and its minimum radius h0 is determined at multiple times between the thread formation and thread pinch-off. The minimum radius and associated time values are used to determine a linear relationship of minimum radius and time, with the coefficient of the linear relationship, or the slope X of the line in the linear relationship, corresponding to the surface viscosity ?s of the liquid according to one of the following equations: x = 0 . 0 ? 7 ? 0 ? 9 1 + 5 ? B s0 / 3 ? h 0 , ( 1 ) where Bs0=?s/?R in which h0 is defined as above, R is the dimension of the feature on which the drop is provided and ? is the bulk viscosity of the liquid, or x = 0 .

Abstract: A Bluetooth-enabled device is provided, the Bluetooth-enabled device being configured to control a radio frequency (RF) chain during a first period to receive at a single antenna selected from a plurality of antennas, a constant tone extension (CTE) signal of multiple frames transmitted by the Bluetooth-enabled transmitter over multiple frequencies. Further the RF chain is controlled during a second period to switch among the plurality of antennas to receive the CTE signal at each of the plurality of antennas. An initial time-of-flight (ToF) data of the CTE signal is determined from first samples of the CTE signal received during the first period. Further, the Bluetooth-enabled transmitter is localized with respect to a location of the Bluetooth-enabled device using a signal model connecting samples of the CTE signal with an unknown angle-of-arrival of the CTE signal received at specific times, an unknown ToF conditioned on the initial ToF data.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a controller for controlling an ego vehicle in an uncertain environment. The controller is caused to acquire knowledge of the environment from measurements associated with sensors the ego. The measurements are based on a state of the ego vehicle and sensing instructions associated with controlling an operation of the sensors. The controller is further caused to estimate a state of the environment, including uncertainty of a state of the at least one moving object or obstacle in the environment. Further a sequence of control inputs is determined by solving a multivariable and a multistage stochastic constrained optimization of a model of the motion of the ego vehicle. The controller is then caused to control the ego vehicle and the sensors based on the sequence of control inputs and the sequence of sensing instructions.
