Abstract: Combined treatment for cancer is provided. Accordingly, there is provided a method of selecting or determining therapeutic efficacy of a combination of agents for the treatment of cancer in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising: (i) culturing a cancerous tissue of the subject in an ex-vivo organ culture (EVOC) in the presence of a combination of an anti-cancer agent and an additional agent, said additional agent is inhibiting expression and/or activity of a target conferring innate resistance to said anti-cancer agent or increasing expression and/or activity of a target conferring innate sensitivity to said anti-cancer agent; and (ii) determining an anti-cancer effect of the combination on the tissue, wherein responsiveness of the tissue to the combination indicates the combination is efficacious for the treatment of the cancer in the subject.
Abstract: A system and method for L0 regularization-based compressed sensing (CS) may use a quantum-classical hybrid system consisting of coherent Ising machines (CIM) and classical digital processors CDP). The CIM and CDP each performs alternating minimization for L0 regularization-based compressed sensing (CS). A truncated Wigner stochastic differential equation (W-SDE) is obtained from the master equation for the density operator of the network of degenerate optical parametric oscillators.

Abstract: An RFID reader system including a novel antenna and enclosure. The enclosure moves between open and closed configurations and in the open configuration the interior is accessible from a number of sides to facilitate placement or removal of items to be scanned from the volume. The antenna may have an array of radiating elements with phase delays between them and a plurality of feeds configured to produces tilted beams of different polarisation. The antenna may have three or more feeds producing three or more beams having different polarisations. The antenna feeds may be sequentially driven to cause the beam of the antenna to scan.
Abstract: A method for improving 3D object detection via object-level augmentations is described. The method includes recognizing, using an image recognition model of a differentiable data generation pipeline, an object in an image of a scene. The method also includes generating, using a 3D reconstruction model, a 3D reconstruction of the scene from the image including the recognized object. The method further includes manipulating, using an object level augmentation model, a random property of the object by a random magnitude at an object level to determine a set of properties and a set of magnitudes of an object manipulation that maximizes a loss function of the image recognition model. The method also includes training a downstream task network based on a set of training data generated based on the set of properties and the set of magnitudes of the object manipulation, such that the loss function is minimized.
