  • Publication number: 20130329554
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide the ability to use policy defined by the operator to control the interfaces on which data is sent and received by a device. The policy can be dynamically updated by the operator, by pushing new policy to the device for implementation. The policy can define that the device should switch certain data between two or more available interfaces at certain times, or may define when certain data may be sent or received over a particular interface. Advantageously, the device may receive new policy from the operator in order to help with the operator's own operational objectives. For example, the operator may be engaging in traffic shaping or other traffic limitation, for example to ease congestion or enforce service agreements.

  • Publication number: 20130329780
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an inverse transform method for an ultra-high resolution video codec. In the inverse transform method for an ultra-high resolution video codec using a Forward Discrete Cosine Transform (FDCT) algorithm, one of a plurality of pixel values is input as a first pixel value. One of remaining pixel values other than the first pixel value is input as a second pixel value. A first median value is calculated using a butterfly operation by applying coefficient values, respectively corresponding to the first and second pixel values, to the first and second pixel values. The first pixel value is replaced with the calculated first median value so as to re-perform the inverse transform method.

  • Patent number: 8603510
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to polymer devices impregnated with semichemical attractants for termites. The materials for delivering the semiochemicals are preferably cellulose-free. Devices of the subject invention are placed in soil and provide a slow-release and permeation of the semiochemicals into the adjacent soil so that termites tunneling in the vicinity are directed toward the chemical sources. Because the semiochemicals are impregnated in the polymer, the device also protects the semiochemicals so that they do not degrade rapidly under field conditions. In a preferred embodiment, the subject invention comprises a durable station housing, preferably with a removable bait, wherein the body of the station housing itself is impregnated with a semiochemical attractant.
