  • Patent number: 10755045
Abstract: Automatic processing of documents often generates results far different from those obtained by manual human processing. For a given document processing task, many different techniques can be tried but it is often not known which will best emulate manual, human processing. This application discloses data processing equipment and methods specially adapted for a specific application: analysis of the breadth of documents. The processing may include context-dependent pre-processing of documents and sub-portions of the documents. The sub-portions may be analyzed based on word count and commonality of words in the respective sub-portions. Preambles may be identified and analyzed. The equipment and methods disclosed herein improve upon other automated techniques to provide document processing by achieving a result that is quantitatively closer to manual, human processing.

  • Publication number: 20200252423
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods by which a computerized platform accesses a data set pertaining to system characteristics and delivers the data to models to assist a user in identifying and remedying cyber vulnerabilities may include models for identifying vulnerabilities based on system characteristics and for identifying remedial actions and services to mitigate the vulnerabilities. Models may be created for quantifying composite risk exhibited by the system and may quantify risk on a domain-by-domain basis. The influence that performance of one or more remedial actions may have on the quantified risk profile of the system may be automatically projected. The response of an insurance marketplace as it pertains to offering policies to cover losses arising from cyber vulnerabilities exhibited by the system, either in its status quo or as altered via by enacting one or more remedial actions, may be automatically projected.

  • Patent number: 10664123
Abstract: A system enables the user to customize the temporal and/or spatial behaviour aspects of desired things with respect to one or more target platforms. The desired things include objects, actions, and media files and can be associated with a time (T-thing), a location (L-thing), a time and location (LT-thing), a platform (P-thing), and combinations thereof. The user can pick and assemble multiple things into meta-things and create meta things of various types. The target platforms include any devices or systems that can be programmed to perform behaviors. The user programs a set of rules, which are then used to specify the behavioral aspects exercised by the system on the target platforms. The user interacts with the system through a portal and/or a mobile application. The portal is an intuitive GUI that enables the user to program the system in a simple pick-drag-and-drop fashion.
