Abstract: An exhaust-gas turbocharger having an electric drive unit for driving a compressor, a turbine, or a turbocharger shaft of the exhaust-gas turbocharger. The electric drive unit has a rotor and a stator. The rotor is equipped with a rotor body embodied around a rotation axis of the rotor. A receptacle for at least one permanent magnet is embodied on the rotor body. A permanent magnet is disposed in the receptacle of the rotor body. The rotor body is mountable using a threaded bushing on a turbocharger shaft of the exhaust-gas turbocharger. The rotor body has a further receptacle which extends in the direction of the rotation axis and in which the threaded bushing is disposed inside the rotor body. The further receptacle is disposed in the rotor body with an offset in the direction of the rotation axis relative to the receptacle.
Abstract: A sensor for measuring a concentration of an analysis fluid based on a thermal conductivity principle. The sensor includes at least one analysis heating element, situated on a measuring diaphragm, for heating the analysis fluid, and a reference heating element, situated on a reference diaphragm, for heating at least one reference gas. The measuring diaphragm and the reference diaphragm are adjacently situated between a sensor substrate and a cap substrate. The measuring diaphragm is situated in a measuring volume and the reference diaphragm is situated in a reference volume. The measuring diaphragm and the reference diaphragm each include at least one coating. The measuring diaphragm is opened by at least one clearance. A method for manufacturing a sensor is also described.

Abstract: A method and system for sensing objects disposed about a vehicle includes LIDAR sensors in a LIDAR sensing unit mounted above the vehicle. The system includes outputting a plurality of laser beams from lasers while rotating the LIDAR sensing unit and simultaneously oscillating or changing an axis of rotation for the LIDAR sensing unit. The LIDAR sensors receive a reflection of the laser beams and convert optical signals to electrical signals. An electronic processor is configured to determine a presence or absence of objects from the electrical signals and provide a warning indication or control movement of the vehicle in response to detection of objects. The oscillating of the LIDAR sensing unit causes the laser beams to change an angle with respect to horizontal during rotation. The change in oscillation or offset angle for an axis of rotation is accounted for by the electronic processor to map the presence of objects. An autonomous vehicle is controlled based on the sensed objects or a warning is provided.

The housing has an end-side opening that is configured to accommodate the insertion tool. The bearing unit is configured to mount the suction-extraction attachment on the insertion tool. Abstract: A method and a device for storing travel distance data are provided. In the method, travel distance data is stored in a non-volatile first memory area of a memory device, but only if this results in an increase in the total travel distance already previously stored therein. Abstract: Operating a combustion engine with an exhaust gas aftertreatment system. In one example, a method includes determining a level of at least one exhaust gas component using a theoretical catalytic converter model in which at least one signal of a first exhaust gas sensor is input as a first signal, detecting a signal of a second exhaust gas sensor downstream of the exhaust gas catalytic converter as a second signal, determining a deviation of the second signal from a target signal, reinitializing the catalytic converter model if the deviation of the second signal from the target signal exceeds a predetermined threshold value, regulating the level by setting an air-fuel mixture supplied to the combustion engine according to a target level based on the determined level, determining a deviation between the first and the second signals, and correcting the first signal.
