  • Patent number: 4915350
Abstract: In known electromagnetically actuatable valves, a connecting tube connected to the armature has a valve closing element secured to its other end. The connecting tube has fuel flowing through it, which can exit again in the vicinity of the valve closing element via radially extending openings. To make such tubes additional work steps are required. There is proposed a novel connecting tube intended to assure easy manufacture and simple assembly with minimum weight and maximum stability. The novel connecting tube is provided with a slit extending from one end to the other, which provides the connecting tube with resilient elasticity and provides a large-area hydraulic cross section. The manufacture of the connecting tube can be accomplished easily by rolling of a sheet-metal blank. The embodiment of the connecting tube is suitable for electromagnetically actuatable valves of all kinds.

  • Patent number: 4916494
Abstract: A monolithic integrated semiconductor device is described, wherein for the adjustment of the breakdown voltage a cover electrode (7) is disposed in the area of the pn-junctions and a corresponding potential is applied through a voltage divider (1) for adjusting the breakdown voltage. For maintaining a temperature independent breakdown voltage it is provided that the voltage divider (1) consists of resistors (R1, R2) in the form of diffused zones which have different doping levels. The resulting different temperature coefficients of the resistors (R1,R2) of the voltage divider cause a temperature dependent potential change of the cover electrode potential, whereby a temperature stabilization of the breakdown voltage is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4913115
Abstract: When motor vehicles are driven, discontinuities that lead to load spikes arise between overrunning and running under load. The load spikes are avoided by means of a discontinuous increase in fuel quantity, which makes it possible for the engine to come gently to rest in its suspension, to bypass the drive play, and to convert the changes in increased fuel quantity without bucking. By incorporating drag elements into the connection between the arbitrary actuation of an intermediate lever, which affects the fuel injection quantity, and an idling stop, a discontinuous adjustment of the intermediate lever is attained.

  • Patent number: 4912968
Abstract: Motor vehicle components that function in accordance with the operating state of a fuel injection pump require a load signal from the pump that represents an accurate quantity relationship, so that they can function in a properly adapted manner. The accurate quantity relationship is attained in that initially, by mechanical means, two additional stops, temporarily lengthened by a spacer gauge, on the pump limit the rotation of an adjusting lever. The conversion into an electrical signal is effected via a potentiometer coupled to the adjusting lever, the characteristic curve of the potentiometer being effected in such a way, in a calibration process by means of laser trimming of two compensating resistors connected in series with the potentiometer, that the set-point voltages with which predetermined quantities are associated are attained at both stops. This reference voltage is suitable for triggering succeeding components of the fuel injection pump.

  • Patent number: 4913081
Abstract: A device for aspirating coating material, such as paints, from the applicator gap between two applicator rollers provides two suction tubes, which are disposed horizontally displaceably and whose outlet ends communicate with an apparatus for generating a suction pressure as well as with in apparatus for collecting the aspirated coating material. Particularly when a photoresist is applied to a board-like substrate in the manufacture of printed circuit boards, accumulations of the coating material in the region of the edge of the substrate passing through the apparatus can be avoided without mechanically straining the applicator rollers. By means of the suction pressure apparatus, the quantity of coating material accumulating as the boards to be coated pass through the apparatus can be aspirated continuously and returned via a collection tank to the supply of coating material to be used.

  • Patent number: 4913911
Abstract: An embossing machine wherein two driven embossing rolls are provided with ripheral knobs and depressions. The knobs of one roll extend with clearance into the depressions of the other roll and vice versa during travel of the knobs and depressions through the nip of the rolls. The clearances between the top lands of knobs and adjacent portions of internal surfaces bounding the respective depressions are smaller than the clearances between the flanks of the knobs and the adjacent portions of the respective internal surfaces. This ensures that a carpet of loose fibrous material which is fed into the nip is converted into embossed textile material having a first layer of compacted portions which are formed adjacent the top lands of knobs on one of the rolls, a second layer of compacted portions which are formed adjacent the top lands of knobs on the other roll, and fluffy intermediate portions which connect the compacted portions forming one of the layers with compacted portions of the other layer.

  • Patent number: 4914661
Abstract: 8-bit data words and check words of a data block are supplied to an error recognition circuit the same time that they are written into a FIFO storage unit a word clock rate derived from the signals reproduced from a magnetic tape record which are subject to phase fluctuations. At the same time a counter is advanced by the same clock pulses. The error recognition circuit forms syndrome words by which each erroneous data word can be located and its address stored, as the state of the counter, into a register which is capable of registering more than one such address. The error recognition circuit also generates an error pattern multibit signal which is likewise stored in a register which can store more than one error pattern.
