The angle of radiation covers a prespecified field of view of the lidar device. The angle of radiation has a first angle of radiation subregion, in which electromagnetic radiation is emitted having a polarization A, and has a second angle of radiation subregion, in which electromagnetic radiation is emitted having a polarization B.

Abstract: A method for determining an eye position using a laser device for a set of smart glasses. The method includes emitting light for scanning an eye along at least one scan line; detecting a plurality of reflection beams of the light reflected along the scan line in order to obtain a plurality of light intensity values, the light intensity values representing intensities of the reflection beams; generating a two-dimensional image of the eye along the scan line using the light intensity values, a high light intensity value being assigned or being assignable to a reflection beam reflected at the retina and a light intensity value low in comparison to the high intensity value being assigned or being assignable to a reflection beam reflected outside the retina of the eye; and determining the eye position of the eye within the image using amplitudes of the light intensity values.
Abstract: An operating method for a LIDAR system. An optical multipulse signal with multiple temporally separate peaks and temporally superimposed peak flanks of temporally directly succeeding peaks is generated on the transmitter side, and is emitted into a visual field as an optical transmission signal. A corresponding control unit, a LIDAR system, and a working device, in particular a vehicle, are also described.
Abstract: An electromechanically drivable brake pressure generator for a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle. The brake pressure generator including a spindle drive unit for converting a rotary movement on the drive side into a translational movement for the purpose of actuating a piston of a hydraulic piston-and-cylinder unit. A gear unit is arranged between the spindle drive unit and an electric drive motor. A drive motor axis and an axis of the spindle drive unit are arranged radially offset from one another. The piston-and-cylinder unit and the electric drive motor are arranged on axially opposite sides of the gear unit.
Abstract: An object recognition device for vehicles, including a sensor, a filter device and an analysis device. Signals from an object are detectable by the sensor. The detected signals are filterable by the filter device and then feedable to the analysis device. The analysis device is configured to recognize the object by analyzing the filtered signals. The filter device includes an averaging unit, which averages the profile of the amplitudes of the detected signals, and a non-linear filter unit, which is provided based on a linear low-pass filter with a variable time constant and filters the detected signals. A value profile corresponding to the difference between the averaged amplitude profile and the filtered signals is feedable to the analysis device for analyzing and recognizing the object. The variable time constant is establishable based on the difference between the filtered signals and the detected signals and based on the averaged amplitude profile.

Abstract: A method for the operation of a cleaning vehicle, in particular a street sweeper capable of being operated in automated fashion, by a control device. A trajectory is calculated and control commands are produced for a longitudinal guiding and transverse guiding of the cleaning vehicle during travel of the calculated trajectory. Measurement data are received from at least one sensor in order to ascertain a cleaning region. At least one actuator is controlled, based on the received measurement data, in order to position a cleaning device of the cleaning vehicle in the longitudinal direction and/or transverse direction relative to a direction of travel of the cleaning vehicle, in order to clean the cleaning region. A control device, a computer program, and a machine-readable storage medium are also described.

Abstract: A method for controlling a brake system. The brake system includes an actuating device, a master brake cylinder, a brake circuit, a wheel brake, and a brake pressure generator. The brake pressure generator and the master brake cylinder are capable of being contacted, parallel to one another, to the brake circuit. A pressure generator control valve controls a first pressure medium connection between the brake pressure generator and the brake circuit. A brake circuit control valve controls a second pressure medium connection between the brake circuit and the master brake cylinder. The brake system is operated in an operating state during which the pressure generator control valve assumes an open position without a brake pressure prevailing in the brake circuit and without a buildup of brake pressure being carried out. During this operating state, the brake circuit control valve is controlled to assume an open position.

Abstract: A user station for a serial bus system. The user station includes a communication control device for controlling a communication of the user station with at least one other user station, and a transceiver device to serially transmit a transmission signal, generated by the communication control device, onto a bus, and serially receive signals from the bus. The communication control device generates the transmission signal according to a frame and inserts into the frame two check sums that include different bits of the frame in the computation. The communication control device inserts dynamic stuff bits into the frame in such a way that an inverse stuff bit is inserted into the bit stream of the frame after 5 identical bits in succession. The communication control device computes the two check sums so that a maximum of one of the two check sums includes the dynamic stuff bits in the computation.
