  • Patent number: 11993257
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle assistance system is described. In one embodiment, when the vehicle is in the autonomous driving mode, encountering an obstacle is prevented independent of the passage height, due to a control unit if is determined that the obstacle is a load supported by a working machine, where the load projects into a driving corridor of the vehicle or moves in the driving corridor. Also described is a device for carrying out the method and to a vehicle having such a device.

  • Publication number: 20240167584
Abstract: A conduit guide for a conduit laying machine has an arcuate channel and at least two longitudinally spaced apart roller sets rotatably mounted in the channel. Each roller set has an upper bow roller and at least two longitudinally spaced apart lower flat rollers, each roller set having a roller gap between the upper and lower rollers. The arcuate path has a radius that is equal to or greater than a minimum bend radius for the conduit. At least one roller gap adjuster has at least one resilient biasing element that permits increasing the spacings of the roller gaps while biasing the spacings of the roller gaps toward fixed minimum spacings. The guide reduces damage and/or twisting of conduits during a conduit laying operation, especially when laying multiple conduits (e.g., triplex electrical cable) from the same conduit feed passage.

  • Patent number: 11988530
Abstract: A multi-pole annular encoder having 2N poles distributed irregularly is positioned facing a sensor that detects transitions between the poles. Times corresponding to the detected transitions are stored and the times that have elapsed between each transition and the previous transition of order 2N, which constitute durations for a complete revolution of a rotating member, are calculated. When the durations thus calculated are stable, a time that has elapsed between a tested transition and the previous transition is calculated, and a characteristic angle of the tested transition is deduced therefrom, this being proportional to a ratio between a time that has elapsed since the previous transition and a stabilized duration for a complete revolution. An index transition is identified and is used to ascertain absolute position of the encoder with respect to the sensor.
