Abstract: The present invention relates to advanced control for a DC-to-DC converter. For this purpose, in the determination of a controlled variable for the control of the DC-to-DC converter, the control dynamics are adjusted according to an electric current through the DC-to-DC converter. In particular, it is possible to determine the controlled variable from a combination of a first controlled variable of a voltage controller and a second controlled variable of a feedforward control. In particular, the control dynamics of the feedforward control can be adjusted according to the electric current through the DC-to-DC converter. By adjusting the control dynamics according to current, it is possible to minimize possible current ripple on the output side.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for planning an optimized motion path. The optimized motion path is determined applying a sampling-based motion-planning algorithm depending on a sample node set including sample nodes. The sample nodes in the sample node set are deterministically selected from a configuration node set including all obstacle free nodes. The sample nodes are selected to optimize a given dispersion criterion. The dispersion criterion selects the sample nodes so that the largest uncovered area/space within the configuration node set is as small as possible.

Abstract: A method for qualification of a camera system and/or its image/camera signals of a partially autonomously or autonomously driving vehicle. Infrastructure information from a vehicle's surroundings is used. The image/camera signal of the camera system is monitored by a monitoring function with regard to at least the following criteria: image/camera signal in recurring, known time windows, sequence of the image/camera signals, corruption of the image/camera signals, signature checking of the camera system. Checking of the image/camera signals using unmoving land markings that are reconciled with a list is carried out and they are checked for a mapping signature. Then the image/camera signals and the infrastructure information contained in the updated map check function are communicated to an evaluation function and merged and compared in a signal fusion unit. Consequently, a qualified image/camera signal is obtained.
Abstract: A device and computer implemented method of controlling a machine. The method includes determining a state of the machine, determining a policy comprising parameters in particular a gain, for mapping the state of the machine to an input for the machine, mapping the state to the input according to the policy, an controlling the machine according to the input. A cone program is defined by a plurality of parameters of a linear quadratic regulator for the machine. A cost function is defined depending on the plurality of parameters and the policy. A constraint is defined for the parameters and for a solution of the cone program. The determining of the policy comprises determining the solution to the cone program so that the cost function meets a criterion subject to the constraint.
Abstract: A system for stretching a polynucleotide structure includes a first electrode configured to generate an electrostatic force perpendicular to a surface of the first electrode and to apply the electrostatic force to the polynucleotide structure to pin an end region of the polynucleotide structure near the surface of the first electrode, and a second electrode configured to generate an electric force along an axial direction of the polynucleotide structure to stretch the polynucleotide structure along the axial direction of the polynucleotide structure into a fully extended form.

Abstract: A device for a serial bus system. The device includes a reception block for receiving a signal from a bus of the bus system. The signal is based on a transmission signal via which a message is exchanged between user stations. The reception block receives, in a first communication phase, the signal using a first reception threshold, and in a second communication phase, receives the signal using a second reception threshold. The device includes an evaluation block for evaluating the signal from the bus using a switchover reception threshold that differs from the first and second reception thresholds, and a reception threshold switching block for the time-limited switchover of the reception threshold of the reception block from the first reception threshold to the second reception threshold when the evaluation block detects the bus level for data of the transmission signal, using the switchover reception threshold in the signal.
