  • Patent number: 11620517
Abstract: A system and computer-implemented method are provided for enabling control of a physical system based on a state of the physical system which is inferred from sensor data. The system and method may iteratively infer the state by, in an iteration, obtaining an initial inference of the state using a mathematical model representing a prior knowledge-based modelling of the state, and by applying a learned model to the initial inference of the state and the sensor measurement, wherein the learned model has been learned to minimize an error between initial inferences provided by the mathematical model and a ground truth and to provide a correction value as output for correcting the initial inference of the state of the mathematical model. Output data may be provided to an output device to enable control of the physical system based on the inferred state.

  • Patent number: 11618400
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for monitoring a motorcycle. Based on the acceleration-relevant data, a vehicle motion and a vehicle position in three-dimensional space are estimated. The vehicle position in space is analyzed and is evaluated as a normal or a critical riding state. A detection direction of a sensor unit is predefined in such a way that in an upright normal resting position of the motorcycle the detection direction lies in a horizontal plane, and the detected acceleration-relevant data encompass a first acceleration component in a longitudinal vehicle direction and a second acceleration component in a transverse vehicle direction. A riding state evaluated as critical is plausibilized with the estimated vehicle motion in order to recognize a critical resting position after an accident. An emergency call is generated when a critical resting position after an accident is recognized.

  • Patent number: 11619683
Abstract: A method and device for compensating for an influence of a magnetic interference source on a measurement of a magnetic field sensor in a device. In the method, a magnetic flux density M1 measured with the magnetic field sensor at a measured ambient temperature Tk is compensated for with a compensation factor Minterference of the magnetic interference source according to M=M1?Minterference, where Minterference=M0+aM0(T?k?T0) and M0 is a magnetic reference flux density relative to a reference temperature T0, a corresponding to a material parameter, which is defined for a used magnet material of the magnetic interference source, and the measured ambient temperature Tk being corrected using a non-linear delay parameter to a temperature of the magnetic interference source T?k. The method is used for the axis-based compensation of a temperature drift, the material parameter a being determined individually for each Cartesian axis.

  • Patent number: 11621868
Abstract: A device for a serial bus system. The device includes a receiver for receiving a signal from a bus, in which for a message that is exchanged between user stations of the bus system, the bus states of a signal received from the bus in the first communication phase differ from bus states of the signal received in the second communication phase. The receiver generates a digital signal based on the received signal, and outputs the signal to a communication control device to evaluate the data. The receiver uses a first reception threshold and a second reception threshold in the second communication phase to generate the digital signal. The second reception threshold has a negative voltage value or has a voltage value that is greater than the largest voltage value that is driven by a user station of the bus system for a bus state in the second communication phase.

  • Patent number: 11619711
Abstract: A scanning-system including transmit/receive paths, a transmitter, a receiver and a rotating-scanning-device. The transmitter emits radiation which propagates along an optical-axis on the transmit-path. The radiation from the target-object is detected by the receiver on the receive-path. The rotating-scanning-device includes an optical-system and a rotating-deflection-unit, which deflects the radiation of the transmit/receive paths. The optical-system includes a first-focusing-unit and a rotating-second-focusing-unit. The movements of the rotating-deflection-unit and the rotating-second-focusing-unit occur synchronously to ensure an alignment of the deflected radiation with the second-focusing-unit. The first-focusing-unit reproduces the radiation emitted by the transmitter on the rotating-deflection-unit so that the beam-diameter on the rotating-deflection-unit is reduced.
