Abstract: Method and apparatus to dynamically add storage for a journal in a continuous data protection system. In an exemplary embodiment, a method includes storing a plurality of journal data streams for a journal in a continuous data protection system in first storage, where streams in the journal data streams contain linked lists of data blocks, determining when the first storage exceeds a selected fullness threshold, allocating second storage for the journal in addition to the first storage, and storing data for the journal in the second storage.
Abstract: In one aspect, a method of dynamically adding a new node includes determining if the new node is included in a list of nodes belonging to a network cluster, notifying the leader node if the new node is not included in the list, adding the new node to the list and notifying the new node that it is a member of the network cluster. In another aspect, a method of dynamically removing a node includes determining if the node is functioning and if not, removing the node from a list of nodes belonging to a network cluster. In a further aspect, a method of dynamically managing a network cluster includes determining if a twin of a node is malfunctioning, removing the twin from a twin state of the node, removing the twin from a leader candidate list and adding a new node to the leader candidate list.

Abstract: The invention relates to a storage device 1, particularly a cooling and freezing device for blood products, and a method for monitoring a temperature-controlled storage device 1. The temperature-controlled storage device 1 has at least one working capacity 23, the temperature of which is controllable by at least one temperature control unit 25. At least one temperature sensor 26a-26e is assigned to the working capacity 23, and this sensor is coupled to a temperature monitoring controller. The temperature monitoring controller is able to be coupled at least intermittently with an analysis point via a preferably packet-based data communication system for the purpose of transmitting temperature measurement values.

Abstract: A vehicle inside mirror device for displaying an image, which can obtain an enhanced mirror function of a prismatic glass caused by a black film provided at a rear side of a prismatic glass and has a relatively simple structure made by forming directly a transflective layer on a rear surface of a prismatic glass without using a substrate. The vehicle inside mirror device comprises a housing mounted in a passenger compartment of a vehicle; a prismatic glass provided on a front side of the housing and having a transparent transflective layer formed on a rear surface thereof; a black film provided at a rear side of the prismatic glass and having an opening formed on one side thereof; a liquid crystal display (LCD) module provided at a rear side of the opening of the black film; and a control circuit unit installed at a rear side of the LCD module.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a continuous process for manufacturing copolyether glycols with high incorporation of alkylene oxide by polymerization of tetrahydrofuran and at least one alkylene oxide in the presence of an acid catalyst, at least one compound containing reactive hydrogen atoms, and a specific diluent or solvent. More particularly, the invention relates to a diluent or solvent-assisted continuous process for manufacturing copolyether glycols with high incorporation of alkylene oxide.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for compatibilizing, i.e. improving miscibility of, otherwise immiscible organic materials highly useful in the fibers industry, as well as the compatibilized product of the method. These compatibilized products are stable in the liquid phase at temperatures ranging from about 40° C. to about 200° C. The method involves use of a glycol derived from polymerization of alkylene oxide and tetrahydrofuran, the alkylene oxide having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, i.e. poly(tetramethylene-co-alkyleneether) glycol, in the mixture.
