Abstract: An outside rear view mirror assembly for a motor vehicle includes a mirror housing including a circumferential lateral wall defining an opening, an insertion opening and a back wall. The outside rear view mirror assembly also includes a mirror mounting bracket insertable into the mirror housing through the insertion opening. A snap-in tongue, defining a free end, extends out from the back wall for engaging the mirror mounting bracket when the mirror mounting bracket is inserted into the mirror housing to lock the mirror mounting bracket therein.
Abstract: A method, system and computer readable medium for providing for providing a function item, such as a key, button, icon, or menu, tied to a user operation in a computer, whereby a single click on the function item in a window or program on a computer screen, or one single selection in a menu in a program, initiates retrieval of name and addresses and/or other person or company related information, while the user works simultaneously in another program, e.g., a word processor. The click on the function item initiates a program connected to the button to search a database or file available on or through the computer, containing the person, company or address related data, in order to look up data corresponding to what the user types, or partly typed, e.g., name and/or address in the word processor, the correct data from the database, data related to the typed data, e.g.
Abstract: The invention provides a part of the mirror housings or cover that has a designed-in-flexibility to move versus other cover parts and to move back to the working position without distortions.
Abstract: A fingerprint imager uses a non-rectangular image readout to reduce the bandwidth and data size of the read-out image. Narrow-width rows in the central portion of the image are used to align successive partial image frames of the fingerprint to reconstruct a full image of the fingerprint using full-width rows of the fingerprint frames.

Abstract: A hinge construction for a wing mirror unit for a motor vehicle is proposed that comprises a first hinge part for mounting on the motor vehicle and a second hinge part, pivotably connected therewith via a shaft. The second hinge part supports a mirror frame of the wing mirror unit, wherein the shaft is connected with one hinge part and wherein the other hinge part is arranged pivotably about the shaft. The mirror frame has a location guide that corresponds with a location rib of a power fold module that is inserted into the frame.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a hydraulic system and method that converts the kinetic energy generated by the operation of a swing motor into hydraulic potential energy and reuses the hydraulic potential energy for swing motor acceleration. An accumulator can be provided for storing exit oil from the swing motor that is pressurized by the inertia torque applied on the moving motor via movement of an upper structure of a machine. The pressurized oil in the accumulator can be reused to accelerate the swing motor by supplying pressurized oil to the swing motor.

Abstract: A film exposer has a modulator which modulates light from a light source and projects it onto a light-sensitive film guided continuously past the modulator. The modulator comprises a two-dimensional arrangement of elements which each project a specific quantity of light onto the film. A pixel entering the projection area of the modulator of the film on one side integrates the light which is projected onto the pixel by elements arranged in a row in the transport direction of the film. The quantity of light integrated by the pixel depends on how many elements are switched on, that is to say project light onto the film, while the film passes through the projection area of the modulator. The total quantity of the light to be integrated can be adjusted for each pixel by appropriate control of the elements respectively lying in a row in the transport direction of the film.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of realizing an associative memory capable of storing a set of documents and retrieving one or more stored documents similar to an inputted query document, said method comprising: coding each document or a part of it through a corresponding feature vector consisting of a series of bits which respectively code for the presence or absence of certain features in said document; arranging the feature vectors in a matrix; generating a query feature vector based on the query document and according to the rules used for generating the feature vectors corresponding to the stored documents such that the query vector corresponds in its length to the width of the matrix; storing the matrix column-wise; for those columns of the matrix where the query vector indicates the presence of a feature, bitwise performing one or more of preferably hardware supported logical operations between the columns of the matrix to obtain one or more additional result columns coding for a similarity measure betwe

Abstract: A portable drawing apparatus configured to act as an easel and/or desk includes a pair of upper support members each pivotally connected to a respective lower support member, and also each pivotally connected to a respective rear support member. In an operational configuration, the rear support members can project rearwardly in a plane substantially normal to a plane defined by two mutually parallel upper support members. A lower cross frame and upper cross frame are each connected to respective lower support members, and upper support members, and each further connected to the non-removable portion. A hinged lateral member, when configured in a locked position, defines the apparatus width. In a collapsed configuration, the distal portions of the upper and lower support members are configured to point in the same direction and form a bundle whose length is substantially less than that of the apparatus length in operational configuration.

The flange can be fixed and soldered to the collection tube by one or two supports.
Abstract: A carry-on case (2) comprising a packing compartment (12) defined by a lower textile panel (16) and a zipper track (8) that extends along a bottom edge of the packing compartment (12). Packing compartment is accessible from the top of the case (2) via a three sided zipper track (8) extending along the top edge, right, and left sides of the packing compartment (12) to permit all-sided access therein.
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for generating a model for predicting loan behavior, including receiving loan data for a plurality of loans; preparing the loan data for analysis; grouping the loans into a plurality of hierarchical segments based on shared characteristics; generating a logistic regression model for each segment; and generating an overall prediction model for at least one of prepayment, delinquency, and default across the plurality of segments. Grouping the loans into a plurality of segments based on shared characteristics may include grouping the loans based on loan type, change in Housing Price Index (HPI) since origination, and loan age. Generating a logistic regression model for each segment may include generating a regression model for the probabilities of each of prepayment, default, and delinquency for each of the segments.

Abstract: A method and apparatus providing interconnectivity between several telephone networks. The apparatus receives a telephone transaction initiation message that originated with a telephone set located in a first network. The initiation message bears an originator's registration number identifying a subscriber whose home registration is located in a second network, the first and second networks using disparate signaling protocols. The apparatus then queries the originator's home registration database using the network protocol of the second network to determine the registration status of the originator. Finally, the registration status information is forwarded to the first network in the network protocol of the first network.

Abstract: Luggage cases that are sized and shaped to be carried on to the passenger compartment of a commercial airplane are called carry-on luggage cases. Cases small enough to fit below the passenger seat 28 immediately in front of the traveler must be very small and compact and generally interfere with comfortable placement of the passenger's feet during travel. The disclosed luggage case 2 includes a tapering reinforced portion 22 of the main packing door 18 on which a passenger may wish to place or rest his or her feet during travel. This main packing door 18 is constructed to bend and open to give access to a specially designed slanting shelf area 12 where a bottled drink 16 or cosmetics can be easily accessed without removing the case 2 from its stowed position beneath the front passenger seat 28.
