Abstract: Electrical equipment includes a badge positioned over a hole of the housing, the badge comprising a first portion made at least of a first material that is transparent or translucent to visible light, and a second portion made at least of a second material that is opaque to visible light and transparent or translucent to infrared light, the first and second portions forming respectively a pattern and a background distinct from the pattern on an outside surface of the badge; an emitter arranged to emit visible light signals through the badge so as to illuminate the pattern without illuminating the background, and a receiver arranged to receive infrared communication signals emitted by a device that is distinct from the electrical equipment and passing through the badge.

Abstract: A securing method in a computing or communication network, the method making it possible to isolate a station connected to a wireless communication device of the network and identified as not complying with the security requirements defined for the network. The isolation of the connected station is performed automatically by a connection to a quarantine zone of the network, excluded from a so-called trusted zone. The device identified as not complying with the security requirements can, for example, access a wide-area network, such as the internet, but cannot access a secure local network.

Abstract: An end device including a plurality of transmission antennas, a combination of which is selected for making a data transmission to a base station of a cellular communication network. In test phase, for each possible combination of transmission antennas: the end device transmits test data and monitors what effect each possible combination of transmission antennas has on parameterisations made by the base station with respect to the end device in the cellular communication network. The end device deduces therefrom uplink quality metrics obtained with each combination of transmission antennas. Then, in nominal transmission phase, the data are transmitted by activating the combination of transmission antennas that obtained the best uplink quality metrics in test phase.

Abstract: A method and an audiovisual set-top box for recommending a list of at least one audiovisual programme to at least one user, the programme or programmes being categorised in genres and/or subgenres. The method has steps, performed by the audiovisual decoder, of: associating said genres and/or said subgenres with emotional states; detecting a current emotional state of said at least one user; performing a sorting of said programmes in said catalogue taking account at least of said emotional state detected and said genres and/or subgenres associated with said emotional state detected; and displaying a list of at least one audiovisual programme taking account of said sorting of said programmes in said catalogue. This makes it possible to take account of the detected current emotional state of the user in order to improve the relevance of the programmes that are recommended to them.

Abstract: A method and a device for managing a radio interface of a communication device, the radio interface includes a plurality of antennas suitable for transmitting and receiving data frames, a front-end module being associated with each antenna, each front-end module comprising a chain for transmitting and a chain for receiving data frames. According to the invention for each antenna and the associated front-end module, a measurement of the received power level is obtained, each power level obtained is compared with a decision threshold determined from at least some of the measurements of power levels of received signals. If the power level of the signal received for an antenna and the associated front-end module is below the decision threshold, the front-end module is deactivated for transmitting a data frame.

Abstract: A method and a device is provided for managing an operating fault in a laser diode of an optical interface of user equipment of the ONU type. The user equipment is connected by an optical access network of the passive optical network PON type to line termination equipment of the OLT type. The user equipment is enabled to send an optical signal during a time slot allocated to the user equipment in accordance with a time-division multiple access principle. The laser diode is checked as to whether it is transmitting an optical signal outside the allocated time slot and, if so, a message to the line termination equipment is transferred if the fault is detected, deactivation of the laser diode is demanded, and one or more procedures for attempting to correct the fault are implemented.

To transmit the frame, the access point: obtains data to be transmitted in multicast mode; obtains data to be transmitted in unicast mode; and constructs a physical-layer header including: in a common signalling field, an identification of each channel resource intended to be used for making the frame transmission, whether this be for the data to be transmitted in unicast mode or in multicast mode; and, in each field in a series of specific signalling fields, information representing an association between a channel resource identifier used and a unique identifier of the destination concerned or group of destinations concerned. Thus each destination can determine each channel resource to listen to in order to receive the data that are addressed to it, whether this be in unicast mode or in multicast mode.

Abstract: To pair a plurality of stations with a wireless access point, the wireless access point establishes a multiple pairing. The wireless access point includes, in broadcast beacon frames, a notification of triggering of multiple pairing, during a declaration period of predefined maximum duration. Abstract: A method for connecting a node of a wireless-communication coverage-extension system is provided. The node determines whether it has been moved out of an initial local area network. In the case where the node has been moved, a local area network is established from the moved node by activating an address server functionality. The moved node is then connected to a point of access to the internet. A secure tunnel is next established between the moved node and a master node coordinating the initial local area network. The address server functionality is then deactivated and a client functionality of an address server of the initial local area network is activated.

The method includes collection, for each of said radio resources, of configuration parameters, and of at least one parameter representing a level of reception by this radio resource; detection, from said radio-resource configuration parameters collected and from at least one of the parameters representing a reception level, of a common configuration parameter value and a proximity between a radio resource of a first communication node and a radio resource of a second communication node from the communication nodes, of such a nature as to cause interference in communications between and first and second communication nodes, and then a configuration of at least one radio resource of the second communication node with a new configuration. The value of the common configuration parameter is absent from the new configuration.
