Abstract: A method for selecting operational channels in a communication network including a plurality of gathering nodes connected together by cable links and wireless links. The method includes: for each branch, selecting and using at least one operational channel, and informing the other branches of the selection thereof, and determining whether there exists at least one selected operational channel in common between the branch and another; identifying at least one group of branches wherein each branch has at least one selected channel in common with another in the group and wherein each branch sees from a radio-propagation point of view at least one other branch in the set; for each group of branches identified, selecting at least one operational channel by realigning within the group the selections of at least one operational channel made by branch; for each group of branches, applying the channel selected by the group.

Abstract: A method for managing a communication channel used by a plurality of Wi-Fi devices of a Wi-Fi network of the backhaul type for implementing a backhaul network in said Wi-Fi network. A first Wi-Fi device in the plurality performs the method and comprises: detecting a disconnection from an initial channel used by the plurality of Wi-Fi devices for implementing the backhaul network of a second Wi-Fi device in the plurality connected directly to the first Wi-Fi device; listening on a backup channel, to which the second Wi-Fi device is able to migrate to implement the backhaul network in the event of detection, by the second Wi-Fi device, of a radar signal on the initial channel; causing the first Wi-Fi device to migrate to the backup channel in the event of reception on the backup channel by the first Wi-Fi device of a frame containing an identifier of the second device.

Abstract: A wireless communication coverage extension system comprises a backhaul subnetwork that includes a set of interconnected nodes. A plurality of nodes of the backhaul subnetwork implementing a functionality of access point of a same wireless communication network. To avoid conflicts of IP addresses, a monitoring of the presence of the main DHCP server is implemented, by a said node, to which the main DHCP server is connected. In the case where the first monitoring shows a disconnection of the main DHCP server, a backup DHCP server is activated in a node of the backhaul subnetwork. Then a general disconnection of the nodes of the backhaul subnetwork and of any device connected to the wireless communication coverage extension system is implemented. The IP address leases are then renewed by the backup DHCP server, following the general disconnection.

Abstract: A method for pairing a terminal with an access point in a wireless communication network is described. The network comprises a plurality of access points that are centrally coordinated by a manager device. The method comprises the following steps executed by at least one access point: receiving a first message comprising information indicating that said terminal wishes to pair with said access point; sending a second message to said manager device, said second message comprising information indicating that said terminal wishes to pair with said access point; adding, in at least one beacon frame of said access point, information indicating that a pairing session is active, only on receipt of a message from said manager device notifying said access point to engage a pairing session with said terminal; and pairing said access point and said terminal.

Abstract: A method for reactivating a wireless communication network in accordance with one of the IEEE 802.11 standards is described. The communication network includes a plurality of gathering nodes, each gathering node includes at least one access-point and/or user radio-frequency interface and/or a user of a so-called backhaul wireless network associated with the communication network, which are deactivated in sending mode, A beacon frame sent by a master node of the reactivation method is propagated gradually in order to reactivate all the nodes in the network.

Abstract: A method and an incident detection device in a local area network, an incident detection device being connected to the local area network by a wide area network, the local area network including a data conditioning and processing device, that: obtains, from the incident detection device, a processing repository for descriptive data from the connections between the stations and the nodes and descriptive data from the connections between the local area network nodes; aggregates the descriptive data from the connections between the stations and the nodes and the descriptive data from the connections between the nodes if the data processing repository includes information indicating that the data must be aggregated; calculates severity scores from the total severity scores according to the repository; and transfers aggregated data or severity scores to the incident detection device.

Abstract: A method for configuring a communication network including a gateway adapted for connecting the communication network to a wide area communication network and connected to a plurality of nodes implementing an access point functionality is described. The nodes are coordinated in a centralised manner by a current master node selected from the plurality of nodes. The current master node obtains a virtual MAC address and an IP address associated with the virtual MAC address, the IP address being reserved for configuring network services. Abstract: An item of ONU equipment configures itself for communicating via a first transport system with an item of OLT equipment in an optical access network, and starts a synchronisation for the first transport system and transmits via the first transport system. The OLT equipment transmits, via a protocol layer fitting on top of the entire transport system of the optical access network, without waiting for the synchronisation for the first transport system to have ended, a message indicating which transport system is to be used by the ONU equipment. When the transport system to be used by the ONU equipment is the first transport system, the synchronisation continues the first communication system, otherwise the synchronisation is restarted for the second transport system.
