Abstract: An acoustic horn arranged to be fastened between a cabinet of a loudspeaker enclosure and an outer casing, the horn presenting a shape and/or dimensions that depend on the outer casing, the acoustic horn being arranged in such a manner that when the acoustic horn, the cabinet, and the outer casing are assembled together its inner face is in contact with the cabinet so that its inner edge surrounds a diaphragm of the loudspeaker and its outer face is in contact with the outer casing in such a manner that a hole set having at least one hole in the outer casing lies inside an area defined by its outer edge, the horn thus being arranged in such a manner that its inside peripheral surface guides sound produced by the loudspeaker towards the outside via the hole set having at least one hole in the outer casing.

Abstract: A method of managing at least one audio playback equipment group including at least one piece of audio playback equipment is provided with a light-emitting identification interface. The method includes the steps of: using the light-emitting identification interface of the piece of audio playback equipment to display a light pattern characteristic at least of the group to which said piece of equipment belongs and/or characteristic of the role of the piece of equipment within said group in the event of at least one of the pieces of audio playback equipment being selected, and performing an action relating to the associated piece of audio playback equipment.

Abstract: A method for selecting portions of images from a video stream including a representation of a subject, the method including the steps of determining a first portion of an image including the subject, determining a target zoom factor among a plurality of zoom factors from the limits determined, a current zoom factor and at least one maximum image resolution and determining target coordinates of the first portion of an image reframed according to the target zoom factor determined and a maximum image resolution.

Abstract: Connected speaker (1) comprising: a LAN interface (2); a WPAN interface (3); pairing means (5) designed to pair the connected speaker with one or more external speakers (6) each equipped with an external WPAN interface (7); processing means (8) designed to acquire an input audio signal from an audio source (15) via the LAN interface, to produce at least one distributed audio signal from the input audio signal, to allocate each distributed audio signal to one of the external speakers (6) paired with the connected speaker, and to transmit, to each external speaker, via the WPAN interface (3) of the connected speaker (1) and the external WPAN interface (7) of said external speaker (6), the distributed audio signal that is allocated to said external speaker (6), such that the connected speaker (1) and the external speakers (6) form a multichannel audio playback system.

Abstract: Obstacle detection and characterisation method, including the steps of: acquiring a first distance measurement obtained from at least one inertial measurement produced by at least one inertial sensor of a mobile terminal, and a second distance measurement obtained from at least one time of flight measurement; evaluating a distance error representative of a difference between the second distance measurement and the first distance measurement; from the distance error, detecting the presence of an obstacle between the mobile terminal and the reference equipment, and determining one or more characteristics of said obstacle.

Abstract: An item of ONU equipment configures itself for communicating via a first transport system with an item of OLT equipment in an optical access network, and starts a synchronisation for the first transport system and transmits via the first transport system. The OLT equipment transmits, via a protocol layer fitting on top of the entire transport system of the optical access network, without waiting for the synchronisation for the first transport system to have ended, a message indicating which transport system is to be used by the ONU equipment. When the transport system to be used by the ONU equipment is the first transport system, the synchronisation continues the first communication system, otherwise the synchronisation is restarted for the second transport system.

Abstract: A first bridge device, connected by a first wired link to a supplying device, and a second bridge device, connected by a second wired link to a consuming device, are interconnected via a wireless communication network and are able to be configured in: a nominal operating mode; an energy saving mode; or a stop mode. The first bridge device switches into stop mode following detection of deactivation of the first wired link, and switches into energy saving mode following detection of disconnection from the network of the second bridge device or when the second bridge device goes into energy saving mode or following detection of a low volume of bidirectional traffic. The second bridge device switches into stop mode following detection of deactivation of the second wired link, and switches into energy saving mode following detection of the consuming device being put into hibernation or following detection of disconnection of the network or detection of a low volume of bidirectional traffic.

Abstract: A method for automatically configuring a new electronic device for connecting to a wireless access point of a communication network; initially the audio channel for communication between the new electronic device and one or more electronic devices already connected to the network is established; secondly, the configuration parameters for connecting to the wireless access point are transmitted by this audio channel to the new electronic device, the latter then being able to configure itself correctly in order to connect to the wireless access point of the network.

Abstract: A method for securing data flows in a communication device configurable from a remote terminal, the method comprising steps of recording a first encryption key in a memory of the device, the generation, from the first key, of a public key and of a private key corresponding to the public key, the reception of a request for securing sent by the remote terminal and a sending of the public key to the remote terminal in response to the request for securing, the operations of receiving the request and of sending the public key being performed when the device and the terminal are connected to the same local network. Another object of the invention is a communication device configured to implement the method described.

Abstract: An auto-location method for electronic equipment items provided with a transmitter/receiver of radioelectric signals, includes the steps of: establishing a list of the equipment items with their relative position and the measurements of distances between the equipment items, detecting, using the list, at least one non-measured distance between a first equipment item and a second equipment item, the transmitter/receiver of which has a plurality of available operating modes, changing the operating mode of the transmitter/receiver of the second equipment item and attempting to measure the distance between the first equipment item and the second equipment item, and updating the list with the last distance measured. A system and a program implement this method.

Abstract: A method is provided for the remote management of a device connected to a residential gateway, including, when performed by the gateway: intercepting a request coming from the device including an address of a first server for which the request is intended, the purpose of the request being to obtain an address of a second server with which the device must be connected; determining a processing operation to be applied to the request, an identifier of the device contained in the request and configuration information obtained from an operator, the configuration information including information representing a set of devices, the plurality of processing operations including a processing operation applied when the device belongs to the set, including responding to the request without contributing the first server. When the processing to be applied is a redirection, a response is provided to the request containing the address of the second server.

Abstract: Modular equipment includes a main module that has a main speaker, main communication components arranged to implement at least one wireless communication, power supply components arranged to acquire main power supply from the mains, main assembly means arranged to assemble the main module with one or more additional modules, a processor component arranged to detect if the main module is assembled with a first additional module comprising one or more microphones and, if this is the case, to activate at least one additional function implemented by the equipment and using the microphone(s).

Abstract: Electrical equipment includes a housing having a hole formed therein; a microphone positioned inside the housing and in the proximity of the hole; a loudspeaker; emitter means arranged to emit an emitted detection sound signal via the loudspeaker; and processor means arranged to acquire a received detection sound signal via the microphone, to detect in real time from the received detection sound signal whether a user's finger is or is not positioned on or in the immediate proximity of the hole, and if a finger is positioned on or in the immediate proximity of the hole to cause a predetermined action to be performed.

Abstract: A method of decoding an incoming audio/video stream received by a decoder box that is connected to audio playback equipment and to video playback equipment, the method comprising the steps of evaluating an audio latency and a video latency; if the audio (or respectively video) latency is greater than the video (or resp. audio) latency, testing a first condition to ensure that the time difference (?t_a, ?t_v) between the presentation time stamp of the audio (or resp. video) samples and the reference clock signal is sufficient, and if the first condition is satisfied, acting, when decoding the audio (or resp. video), to decrease the presentation time stamp of the audio (or resp. video) samples in order to advance playback of the audio (or resp. video) samples, thereby compensating at least in part the latency difference between the audio (or resp. video) latency and the video (or resp. audio) latency.

Abstract: A method for selecting operational channels in a communication network including a plurality of gathering nodes connected together by cable links and wireless links. The method includes: for each branch, selecting and using at least one operational channel, and informing the other branches of the selection thereof, and determining whether there exists at least one selected operational channel in common between the branch and another; identifying at least one group of branches wherein each branch has at least one selected channel in common with another in the group and wherein each branch sees from a radio-propagation point of view at least one other branch in the set; for each group of branches identified, selecting at least one operational channel by realigning within the group the selections of at least one operational channel made by branch; for each group of branches, applying the channel selected by the group.

Abstract: A method for managing a communication channel used by a plurality of Wi-Fi devices of a Wi-Fi network of the backhaul type for implementing a backhaul network in said Wi-Fi network. A first Wi-Fi device in the plurality performs the method and comprises: detecting a disconnection from an initial channel used by the plurality of Wi-Fi devices for implementing the backhaul network of a second Wi-Fi device in the plurality connected directly to the first Wi-Fi device; listening on a backup channel, to which the second Wi-Fi device is able to migrate to implement the backhaul network in the event of detection, by the second Wi-Fi device, of a radar signal on the initial channel; causing the first Wi-Fi device to migrate to the backup channel in the event of reception on the backup channel by the first Wi-Fi device of a frame containing an identifier of the second device.

Abstract: A method for selecting operational channels in a communication network including a plurality of gathering nodes connected together by cable links and wireless links. The method includes: for each branch, selecting and using at least one operational channel, and informing the other branches of the selection thereof, and determining whether there exists at least one selected operational channel in common between the branch and another; identifying at least one group of branches wherein each branch has at least one selected channel in common with another in the group and wherein each branch sees from a radio-propagation point of view at least one other branch in the set; for each group of branches identified, selecting at least one operational channel by realigning within the group the selections of at least one operational channel made by branch; for each group of branches, applying the channel selected by the group.

Abstract: A wireless communication coverage extension system comprises a backhaul subnetwork that includes a set of interconnected nodes. A plurality of nodes of the backhaul subnetwork implementing a functionality of access point of a same wireless communication network. To avoid conflicts of IP addresses, a monitoring of the presence of the main DHCP server is implemented, by a said node, to which the main DHCP server is connected. In the case where the first monitoring shows a disconnection of the main DHCP server, a backup DHCP server is activated in a node of the backhaul subnetwork. Then a general disconnection of the nodes of the backhaul subnetwork and of any device connected to the wireless communication coverage extension system is implemented. The IP address leases are then renewed by the backup DHCP server, following the general disconnection.

Abstract: A method for pairing a terminal with an access point in a wireless communication network is described. The network comprises a plurality of access points that are centrally coordinated by a manager device. The method comprises the following steps executed by at least one access point: receiving a first message comprising information indicating that said terminal wishes to pair with said access point; sending a second message to said manager device, said second message comprising information indicating that said terminal wishes to pair with said access point; adding, in at least one beacon frame of said access point, information indicating that a pairing session is active, only on receipt of a message from said manager device notifying said access point to engage a pairing session with said terminal; and pairing said access point and said terminal.
