  • Patent number: 5676519
Abstract: A destacker for small flat packages such as audio or video cassettes includes a gripper for gripping a vertically oriented package of a horizontal stack of such packages, and transferring the package to a releasing location while simultaneously repositioning the package into a horizontal orientation. The gripper is mounted to a pair of pivoted links. An actuator causes the links to rotate such that the gripper is transferred while being initially rotated in a first direction and finally being rotated in an opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 5667343
Abstract: A milling cutter tool for chip-breaking machining comprises a rotatable milling cutter body (1) and a plurality of cutting insert-carrying cassettes (4) which are fastened in the cutter body by screws (6,7). The screw holes of the cassette are somewhat elongate in order to enable an axial fine-adjustment of the cutting edges. This fine-adjustment is accomplished by turning an eccenter tap (8), for instance by sticking a hexagonal key through a hole in the cassette, which hole leads to the head of the eccenter tap.

  • Patent number: 5649279
Abstract: There is disclosed a new process for binder phase enrichment. The process combines binder phase enrichment by dissolution of cubic phase with the requirements that cause formation of stratified layers, resulting in a unique structure. The new structure is characterized by, in comparison with the ones previously known, deeper stratified layers and less maximum binder phase enrichment. The possibility of combining dissolution of the cubic phase with formation of stratified layers offers new possibilities to optimize the properties of tungsten carbide based cemented carbides for cutting tools. The new process offers possibilities to combine the two types of gradients. The dissolution of cubic phase moves the zone with maximum mount of stratified binder phase from the surface to a zone close to and below the dissolution front.

  • Patent number: 5645132
Abstract: A percussion drill bit includes a drill body having a fluid passage formed therein for conducting flushing fluid to a front drilling face of the drill bit. The fluid passage includes a main portion extending from a rear end of the bit and terminating short of the drilling face, and a plurality of branch lines extending from a front end of the main portion to the drilling face. Front and rear axially spaced seats are disposed in the main portion of the fluid passage. A check valve in the form of a ball is freely movable within the main portion of the fluid passage between contact with the front and rear seats. When the drill bit is oriented upwardly and no flushing fluid is supplied, the ball gravitates rearwardly into sealing contact with the rear seat so that no fluid can flow rearwardly past the rear seat. When flushing fluid is conducted, the flushing fluid pushes the ball forwardly, into non-sealing contact with the front seat and travels past the ball into the branch lines.

  • Patent number: 5637037
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for supplying cooling medium to a grinding cup for grinding buttons of a rock drilling bit. The invention also relates to a grinding cup to carry out the method. A shank of the grinding cup is rotatably mounted in a grinding machine. In prior art grinding cups, the cooling medium is supplied via an axial bore extending through the entire grinding cup. These prior arrangements require the cooling medium to be guided through the grinding machine. The method according to the present invention supplies cooling medium to the portion of the grinding cup that is located axially between a recess of a wear part and the free end of the shank of the grinding cup.
