Abstract: A gyratory crusher outer crushing shell. The outer crushing shell comprises an upper contact surface region that is divided into a plurality of elongate circumferentially extending shoulders. The shoulders are separated by recessed gap regions adapted to accommodate a suitable backing material to structurally reinforce the shell. A channel extends circumferentially around the shell in the outward facing surface to axially separate the upper contact surface region from a lower contact surface region. The channel is also adapted to accommodate the backing material.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a powder based article comprising one portion of a first material and at least one portion of a second material comprising the steps of: arranging at least a first body comprising a powder of the second material and a gasifiable material in a selected portion or selected portions in a capsule defining the shape of the article, wherein the powder of the second material is held by the gasifiable material; filling the capsule with a powder of the first material; removing the gasifiable material; sealing the capsule; heating the capsule under increased pressure to a temperature at which the powders of the first and second materials densifies to a compact article.
Abstract: A method for at least partly emptying a crushing chamber formed between an inner crushing shell and an outer crushing shell of an inertia cone crusher is provided. The inner crushing shell is supported on a crushing head. A central axis of the crushing head gyrates about a gyration axis with an rpm, for crushing material in the crushing chamber. The method includes the steps of interrupting the feeding of material to the crusher; measuring, directly or indirectly, at least one of a position and a motion of the crushing head during an amplitude control period; comparing the measured position and/or motion with at least one set point value; determining, based on the comparison, the measured position and/or motion to at least one set point value, whether the rpm should be adjusted; and adjusting the rpm when necessary.
Abstract: A coated cutting tool includes a substrate with a rake side, a clearance side and a cutting edge, and a coating including a first layer and a second layer. The second layer includes an inner layer and an outer layer, wherein the first layer is exposed through an opening in the inner layer and the opening extends over at least a portion of the width of the cutting edge. Thereby, a double layer is provided in critical areas, whereas a single layer is provided in other areas. Preferably, the double oxide layer includes aluminum oxide layers. A method for manufacturing the coated cutting tool is also provided.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cermet body essentially free from nitrogen where the binder phase is Co in an amount of from about 5 to about 25 vol % Co, further comprising TiC and WC in amounts so that the atomic Ti:W ratio is from about 2.5 to about 10. The cermet body further comprising Cr in an amount such that the atomic Cr:Co ratio is from about 0.025 to about 0.14. The cermet body is free from nucleated of Ti—W—C cores. The invention also relates to a method of making a cermet body.

Abstract: A rotatable tool for chip removing machining, including a basic body having front and rear ends between which there extends a first geometrical center axis, and a loose top having front and rear ends between which a second geometrical center axis extends. The front end of the basic body includes a jaw, which is delimited by two drivers and an intermediate bottom and in which a part of the loose top is received. A centering pin protrudes axially rearward from the loose top and is inserted in an axial center hole, which mouths in the bottom of the jaw and in which a threaded hole mouths for a screw co-operating with the center pin. The center hole includes a cylindrical support surface, which is concentric with the center axis of the basic body and against which the centering pin of the loose top is pressed by the screw.
Abstract: A method for detecting tramp material in an inertia cone crusher having an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell is provided. The inner crushing shell is supported on a crushing head. The crushing head is rotatably connected to an unbalance bushing. The unbalance bushing has an unbalance weight for tilting the unbalance bushing when it is rotated, such that the crushing head will gyrate about a gyration axis, the inner crushing shell thereby approaching the outer crushing shell for crushing material in the crushing chamber formed therebetween. The method includes the steps of measuring at least one of a position and a motion of the crushing head; obtaining, based on the measurement, a gyration value; comparing the gyration value with a gyration reference value; and determining, based on the comparison, whether to issue a tramp material warning signal indicating the presence of tramp material in the crusher.

Abstract: Insert for electrical furnaces comprising an insulating shell and a coiled heater element, the heater element comprising element wire that consists of at least two sections that are interconnected via a bend of element wire in such a way that the bend and the sections mutually form a loop of element wire. Abstract: A hole-making tool includes a body having a seat, which is delimited by a tangential support surface, an axial support surface, and a radial support surface. A cutting insert is fixed in the seat. A pair of female- and male-like securing means is arranged in the interface between the tangential support surface of the seat and the underside of the cutting insert. The female-like securing means includes a guide surface. The male-like securing means is spaced from the guide surface to form a gap between the securing means when the cutting insert is pressed against the axial and radial support surfaces. If the feeding direction of the tool is reversed, the cutting insert may become detached from the seat and the securing means is activated to direct the cutting insert inward toward the radial support surface to prevent the peripheral portion of the cutting insert from scratching the generated hole.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an exchangeable insert seat member for a metal cutting tool having a tool body and a cutting insert. The exchangeable insert seat member is arranged to be placed between the tool body and the cutting insert, wherein the exchangeable insert seat member contacts the tool body. The cutting insert at contact areas is arranged such that there is no direct contact between the tool body and the cutting insert and wherein the exchangeable insert seat member is produced by powder injection molding. The present invention also relates to a metal cutting tool having the exchangeable insert seat member.
