Abstract: Method for milling a series of teeth of a toothed gear element with teeth in a straight line with a milling cutter rotatable about a milling cutter axis and having at its periphery interchangeable cutting inserts arranged such that, when the milling cutter is brought to the toothed gear element, they reach into gaps between adjacent teeth or generate these gaps, and a corresponding milling cutter. Cutting edges of mounted cutting inserts extend radially and perpendicularly relative to the milling cutter axis. During milling of the tooth profile, the milling cutter axis is aligned in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the tooth back and, during entering of the cutting inserts, rotated about the milling cutter axis, into the surface or gaps between the teeth, and pivoted in this plane over an angular range covering all normals to the profile surface of the tooth to be produced.

Abstract: Air compressor systems, upgrade kits, computer readable medium, and methods for controlling an air compressor for improved performance. The methods may include receiving a working air requirement; determining an estimated air pressure of the air compressor to deliver the working air requirement; measuring a pressure of the air compressor; comparing the measured pressure with the calculated estimated air pressure; if the measured pressure of the air compressor is greater than the determined estimated air pressure by a predetermined greater amount, then decreasing an output control of the air compressor; and if the measured pressure of the air compressor is less than the calculated estimated air pressure by a predetermined lesser amount then increasing the output control of the air compressor. The air compressor may be controlled based on a measured pressure of delivered working air. An oil control system may shut off oil to parts of the air compressor.

Abstract: A double-sided, indexable milling insert has a round basic shape defined by an imaginary cylinder, which is concentric with a center axis and extends between two reference planes that extend perpendicular to the center axis and are equidistantly separated from a neutral plane. The milling insert includes a pair of opposite chip faces located in the reference planes between which an envelope surface concentric with the center axis extends, a plurality of identical and alternately usable cutting edges along the peripheries of the chip faces, and lock means for rotationally securing the milling insert in one of several predetermined index positions. The individual cutting edge has the shape of a wave trough and includes two edge segments that meet at a bottom point.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a coated cutting tool comprising a substrate and a multilayered (Ti,Al)N coating. The coating comprises three zones: a first zone (A) closest to the substrate, a second zone (B) adjacent to the first zone and a third outermost zone (C). All three zones each comprises a multilayered aperiodic structure of (Ti,Al)N, where the average composition for each zone is different from each other and where the ratio between the thickness of the zone C and zone B is between 1.3 and 2.2 and where zzone C>Zzone B, where z is the average composition for each zone of the ratio z=Ti/Al. The coating has a low residual stress.
Abstract: A screening media of a vibrating screen screens fractions of stone or gravel. The screening media is formed of ribs extending from one end of the screening media to the opposite end thereof. Pins projecting perpendicularly from the ribs are placed on opposite sides of the ribs. Each pin ends at a distance from an adjacent rib. The dimension and placement of the pins are such that a continuous aperture is formed between two adjacent ribs. Each aperture is formed of a number of rectangular screening areas of identical size. Each screening area is placed perpendicular to each adjacent screening area and end areas of adjacent screening areas coincide.

Abstract: An austenitic alloy for high temperature use, particularly for use in resistance heating elements. The alloy includes primarily the elements Fe, Ni, and Cr, and it has the following main composition, given in weight %, Ni 38-48, Cr 18-24, Si 1.0-1.9, C <0.1, and the balance Fe. The alloy provides good hot form stability, good oxidation resistance, and a relatively high electrical resistance coupled with a low change in resistance as a function of temperature.
Abstract: A cutting insert for a gear milling tool comprises an under side, an opposite upper side that forms a chip surface and is parallel to an extension plane (p), a circumferential edge side that connects the upper side and the under side. A centre axis (A) extends through the under side. A symmetry line (S) is perpendicular to the centre axis. A first cutting edge comprises a primary main cutting edge, a secondary main cutting edge—which are symmetrical in respect of the symmetry line—and a transverse end cutting edge between the primary and the secondary main cutting edge. A normal to the extension plane (p) forms an acute clearance angle with the edge side at least along the first cutting edge so that the cutting insert obtains a positive cutting geometry.
