Abstract: The present invention relates to a cemented carbide with a homogeneous and dense microstructure of hard constituents in a well distributed binder phase based on Co and/or Ni with a porosity of AOO-BOO according to ISO 4505. The cemented carbide has a nanoporosity of less than 2.5 pores/1000 ?m2 with a size of 0.5-1 ?m. The cemented carbide is produced by using a binder phase powder with a specific surface area of 3 to 8 m2/g with a sponge shape and a grain size of the sponge shaped particles of between 1 and 5 ?m.
Abstract: Twist drill for short hole drilling with two chip flutes opening in a clearance surface of a front tip to form, with the clearance surface, two cutting edges. Chip flutes have three different part surfaces having different curvatures—a bottom surface with arc radius less than 10 mm and two other ones with radius of curvature approaching infinity. Boundary line between concave bottom surface and heading frontal surface meets a main edge that is included in the individual cutting edge and divided into two edge segments imparting a J-like shape to the main edge. The chip flute is extraordinary deep with the diameter (DC) of the core reduced to a minimum and the opening angle (?) smaller than the angle of divergence (?) of two bars, between which the flutes are countersunk. The drill improves-formation and evacuation of chips, is easy-cutting and requires a minimum of energy.
Abstract: A tool for machining work pieces is disclosed. In order to provide a tool which exhibits only very small vibrations during operation, the tool body of the tool has a cavity in which a multiplicity of hollow structural elements having an outer closed shell, within which at least one solid particle or a hollow body is arranged in a freely movable manner, are accommodated.
Abstract: A coated cutting tool includes a coating and a substrate. The substrate is at least partly coated with a 4-10 ?m thick coating comprising two adjacent Ti(C,N)-layers where the difference (?) between the residual stress state of the inner layer and the residual stress state of the outer layer is 1000 MPa???2500 MPa, on at least a part of the cutting edge and/or on at least a part of the rake face. A method to produce such a difference between the residual stress states is also disclosed.
Abstract: A method for sorting hard metal including the steps of subjecting one or more bodies of hard metal to a heat treatment at a temperature of 500° C. or higher in an atmosphere including at least one reactive gas component prone to form a reaction product with an element that may or may not be present in the one or more bodies. A sorting operation of the one or more bodies is performed based on a presence or absence of the reaction product in a surface portion of the heat treated one or more bodies.
Abstract: Milling tool has a tool body with a fixing end, an opposite outer end, and a peripheral surface. The tool body comprises a large number of separated seats arranged at the peripheral surface one after the other along a helix line having a constant pitch. Corresponding large number of replaceable milling inserts comprise an under side, an opposite upper side forming a chip surface, a circumferential edge side, and two pairs of main cutting edges. The chip surface extends in an extension plane that comprises the main cutting edges. Each seat receives one of the milling inserts and comprises a support surface allowing support to the milling insert projecting from the tool body for cutting engagement with a gash of the workpiece. The chip surface extension plane of each milling insert has a normal parallel to the tangent of the helix line where the same intersects the extension plane.
Abstract: A cone crusher includes a crushing chamber formed between inner and outer crushing shells, a drive shaft that gyrates the crushing head to crush material in the crushing chamber, and a feeding hopper for feeding material to the crushing chamber. A measurement device measures an amount of material present in the feeding hopper. A control system controls, based on the measured amount of material present in the feeding hopper, at least one crusher operating parameter which is chosen from i) an rpm of the drive shaft, and ii) a width of a discharge opening formed between the inner crushing shell and the outer crushing shell.
Abstract: A crusher feed hopper hatch includes a door and a frame. The frame has a suitable hinge and lock mounts into which pivoting bodies are mounted and capable of functioning as either hinge or lock bodies. The door is configurable for alternate attachment to either side of the frame to be either right or left-hand opening.

Abstract: A rock drill bit for percussive drilling comprising a bit head configured to be attached at an end of a drill element of a drilling assembly and having a diameter larger than that of a said drill element. The bit head has at a front end as seen in the intended drilling direction a generally frusto-conical shape defined by a substantially circumferential ring provided with a plurality of gauge buttons distributed along the extension of the ring for engaging material to be crushed. A central flush channel extends through the bit head and has at least one flushing hole opening at said front end to conduct flushing medium to said front end. At least one peripheral flushing hole of said at least one flushing hole opening at said front end opens in said substantially circumferential ring. At least two peripheral flushing holes open in said substantially circumferential ring.
Abstract: A hydraulic system for controlling the position of a movable jaw of a jaw crusher includes a hydraulic cylinder having a piston with a piston rod for positioning the movable jaw. The hydraulic cylinder has a bore side space for containing a hydraulic fluid taking up crushing forces exerted by the movable jaw on the piston rod, and an annular side space containing a hydraulic fluid pressing the piston against hydraulic fluid of the bore side space. The hydraulic system further includes an annular side space accumulator having a fluid compartment, which is in fluid contact with the annular side space, and a gas compartment containing a pressurized gas applying a pressure on the hydraulic fluid in the annular side space.

Abstract: A medical implant device or component thereof comprising a metal substrate and a coating layer structure provided on the substrate. The coating layer structure comprises an outermost layer of a ceramic material. A bonding structure is deposited between the metal substrate and the coating layer structure. The bonding structure comprises a chromium rich layer, which is deposited onto the metal substrate surface and has a higher concentration of chromium than the metal substrate, as well as a gradient layer having a composition gradient from the chromium rich layer towards the surface of the device providing increasing proportions of a gradient material which has structural correspondence with the layer of the coating layer structure that is most adjacent to the bonding structure.

Abstract: Air compressor systems, upgrade kits, computer readable medium, and methods for controlling an air compressor for improved performance. The methods may include receiving a working air requirement; determining an estimated air pressure of the air compressor to deliver the working air requirement; measuring a pressure of the air compressor; comparing the measured pressure with the calculated estimated air pressure; if the measured pressure of the air compressor is greater than the determined estimated air pressure by a predetermined greater amount, then decreasing an output control of the air compressor; and if the measured pressure of the air compressor is less than the calculated estimated air pressure by a predetermined lesser amount then increasing the output control of the air compressor. The air compressor may be controlled based on a measured pressure of delivered working air. An oil control system may shut off oil to parts of the air compressor.
