Abstract: A dispenser for interfolded napkins includes a container having a supporting surface for supporting a stack of interfolded napkins. The supporting surface extends in a horizontal plane, and is surrounded by side walls extending in a vertical direction perpendicular to the supporting surface. The side walls define a dispensing opening opposite the supporting surface. At least one tab is arranged in the container for retaining the stack of napkins during withdrawal of a napkin from the stack. The tab is pivotably arranged in relation to the container between a holding position, in which the tab extends horizontally over at least a portion of the dispensing opening, and a refill position, in which the tab is directed away from the dispensing opening. The tab pivots about a living hinge. One or more stop surfaces limit an extent to which the tab is able to turn about the living hinge toward the dispensing mouth.

Abstract: A multi-component fiber includes at least two elongated fiber bodies. A first fiber body consists of a first material including a phase change material and a second fiber body consists of a second material and encloses the first fiber body. The phase change material is non-encapsulated or in raw form and the first material includes a viscosity modifier selected from polyolefines having a density in the range of 890-970 kg/m3 as measured at room temperature according to ISO 1183-2 and a melt flow rate in the range 0.1-60 g/10 minutes as measured at 190° C. with a 21.6 kg weight according to ISO 1133. Further, a textile, a fabric and an absorbent article include the multi-component fiber.

Abstract: A pant-type absorbent article includes a front and a back portion, longitudinally extending side seams and a connecting portion between the front and back portions. The connecting portion forms a crotch region and leg openings. Part of the front portion, back portion, and the connecting portion is made of an elastic laminate extending transversely across the front, back and connecting portions. Elongated leg elastic members extend along the leg openings in at least part of the connecting portion and terminate at a distance from the respective side seam thus leaving an area corresponding to a peripheral length of at least 50 mm along the respective leg opening where the leg elastic members are absent and wherein the connecting portion in the area where the leg elastic members are absent is made of the elastic laminate in at least 90% of the peripheral length.

Abstract: A packaging unit (301) for hygiene articles that is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface (302) comprises an edge zone (304) comprising an inner edge portion (305, 308) and an outer edge portion (306, 307). At least one of the outer and inner edge portions comprises at least one region provided with a resealable adhesive (12). The sheet has at least one folding axis (309, 309?) dividing said sheet into a first and second regions region. The sheet is folded about said at least one folding axis with said first and second regions in an overlapping configuration, thereby providing a packaging unit. Overlapping outer edge portions of the sheet layers are at least partly adhesive-free and are at least partially connected to each other by a mechanical interaction providing a sealing strength of 0.2 to 1.5 N. A method for forming the packaging unit is provided.

Abstract: A body fluid test arrangement for an absorbent article includes a body fluid test device for receiving and examining voided body fluid. The body fluid test arrangement is configured to attach to a topsheet of the absorbent article. The body fluid test arrangement includes a fastening means for attachment to the topsheet of the absorbent article by a peelable connection between the body fluid test arrangement and the topsheet. The fastening means provides an attachment of the body fluid test arrangement having a peel strength from 0.05 to 1.65 (N×cm)/cm2. An absorbent article including a body fluid test arrangement also is provided.

Abstract: A stack of folded web material for hygiene products, such as paper or nonwoven products, said stack including: at least two webs, the webs including: a first web divided into individual sheets by means of lines of weakness; and a second web divided into individual sheets by means of lines of weakness; said first and second webs being interfolded with one another so as to form said stack; and wherein the first web and the second web are arranged in said stack such that the lines of weakness of the first web and the lines of weakness of the second web are offset with respect to one another along the webs; each line of weakness having a separation strength, being the force required to separate an individual sheet from the web along said line of weakness.

Abstract: A method of securing a conductive thread in an absorbent article is disclosed. The method includes: passing a thread through a first surface of the absorbent article; and anchoring a first length of the thread on the first surface by applying adhesive at a position on the first length of the thread between a point at which the thread passes through the surface and a first end of the thread to cover at least a portion of the thread and a portion of the surface.

Abstract: A packaging unit for hygiene articles, the unit being formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface, said inner surface comprising an edge portion being provided with a resealable adhesive for closure of the packaging unit. The sheet has a longitudinal center line and at least one transversely extending folding axis dividing the sheet into a first region and a second region. A tab is arranged at an edge portion of the first region. The tab extends in a longitudinal direction from said edge portion so that an extension of the tab along or parallel to the center line from a tab base to an outer edge of the tab is 0.5 cm or more. A method of forming the packaging unit is also provided.

Abstract: A data collection and monitoring system for at least one defined space within a public or commercial facility includes: a plurality of sensors each monitoring a predetermined parameter; and a data collecting unit arranged for communicating with said sensors within a range of communication which corresponds to the extent of said defined space, with at least one mobile device for a user and with a central server which is associated with a storage medium. The storage medium is adapted for storing and monitoring data related to said sensors. Said data collecting unit is arranged for forwarding data relating to the sensors to the mobile device when the mobile device enters said space.

Abstract: A method of monitoring an absorption state of an absorbent article includes providing a logger unit, acquiring the absorption state of the absorbent article, and recording data indicating the acquired absorption state of the absorbent article in the logger unit. Acquiring the absorption state of the absorbent article and recording the data indicating the acquired absorption state of the absorbent article in the logger unit are each continuously performed during a monitoring period of the absorbent article. Also disclosed is a logger unit for performing this method; and a method of processing data indicating an absorption state of an absorbent article, which includes receiving sets of data indicating the absorption state of the absorbent article. Each of the sets of data indicates the absorption state of the absorbent article over a portion of a continuous period of time, and collating and/or displaying the data in continuous form.

Abstract: A packaging unit for hygiene articles is formed from a sheet having a folding axis dividing the sheet into first and second regions. One of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is provided with resealable adhesive, thus forming a first adhesive zone. The other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion is adhesive-free. The inner edge portion or the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region corresponding to the adhesive-carrying edge portion of the first region is adhesive-free, such that when the sheet is folded about the folding axis, the edge portions carrying resealable adhesive in the first region are brought in contact with the adhesive-free edge portions in the second region. A distance between the at least one first folding axis and the first adhesive zone is 1-20 mm.
