Abstract: An espresso coffee machine has a vertically movable snout that supplies hot water under pressure of a pump (13), to coffee (8) held in a filter (7) on a stationary support (9). The snout (10) which penetrates inside the filter (7), is mounted on the first part (22) of a hydraulic jack (21) actuated by the pressurized water supplied by the pump (13). The second part (88) of the jack is adapted to be moved against the action of an antagonistic spring (98) in order to permit the optimum deployment of the jack (21) when the snout (10) is in contact with the ground coffee (8) in the filter (7). This construction is useful for limiting the mechanical stresses on the component parts of the jack, and the pressure exerted by the snout on the ground coffee.

The plate (7) and parts mounted thereon are preassembled and then assembled as a module into the iron.
Abstract: The toaster comprises a housing for receiving the pieces of bread to be toasted or to be reheated and on both sides of this housing an electric heating element having an electric resistor (R.sub.1, R.sub.2) wound on an elongated support made of insulating material (10, 11).On both sides of the housing there is provided at least one second electric resistor (R.sub.3, R.sub.4), commutation being provided to connect to the mains, as desired, one or both of the abovementioned resistors.Use: to permit a plurality of heating modes in toasters.
Abstract: The smoothing or pressing or steam iron has a metallic sole-plate (1) provided with an anti-adhesive coating (2). The sole-plate surface overf the anti-adhesive coating has a series of projections (3) formed by an anti-adhesive coating based on fluorocarbon resin, with the result that the iron glides easily over textile fabrics.
Abstract: A smoothing or pressing or steam iron having a metallic sole-plate that comes into contact with articles to be ironed and has a series of substantially parallel ribs (6, 7) whose width and height are within the range of a few tenths of a millimeter to a few millimeters. The sole-plate has an exposed surface having a continuous anti-adhesive coating (8) selected from the group consisting of fluorocarbon resin and enamel. The coating follows the profile of the ribs. The ribs extend in a longitudinal direction of the sole-plate. Each rib has either a rounded crest or a pointed crest.
Abstract: A non-scaling electric steam iron has a heating sole plate (1), a steam chamber (3), a water reservoir (5), a feed device (6) for supplying water to the steam chamber, and a demineralizing cartridge (7) placed in the water circuit which connects the reservoir (5) to the steam chamber (3). The demineralizing cartridge (7) is placed in a removable manner between the primary plain-water reservoir (5) and a secondary demineralized-water reservoir (25) which communicates with the water feed device (6). The cartridge (7) communicates with the Primary reservoir (5) and the secondary reservoir (25) by the use of valves (27a,27b) which prevent any outflow of water when the cartridge is removed from the iron.
Abstract: An electric appliance for cooking and especially toasting food products such as ham-and-cheese sandwiches has two cooking plates (1, 2) which are hinged together. Each cooking plate is formed of die-stamped sheet metal and attached to a sheet-metal support plate (15, 16) forming a reflector, an electric heating resistor (13) being placed between the support plate and the cooking plate. The support plates (15, 16) are provided on one side with elements (3, 4) for joining them together in hinged relation and on the opposite side with elements for attaching handles.
Abstract: The device is intended to support the mechanical and electrical members of a toaster (1).The device consists of a plate (2) in plastic material comprising protuberances or tongues (3, 4, 5, 6) molded in the plastic material and projecting on one of the faces of the plate (2), these protuberances or tongues being shaped in order to receive and to ensure the fixing of conducting (7, 8) or mechanical elements by translation of the latter perpendicularly to the plate (2), these elements being intended to form the mechanical and electrical control members of the toaster.Application particularly in vertical toasters.

Abstract: A toaster having a bread holder (17) mounted to slide vertically in the toaster, has a mechanical device (25) for locking and unlocking the bread holder (17). This device (25) enables the holder (17) to be locked in a low position, and a return spring is provided for raising the holder (17). The mechanical device (25) comprises an upper connecting rod (56) articulated with a lower connecting rod (57) by a common articulation (59), an end of the upper connecting rod (56) opposite the common articulation (59) being articulated at a fixed point (58) and an end of the lower connecting rod (57) opposite the common articulation (59) being articulated with the holder (17). An intermediate lever (42) is articulated with the upper connecting rod (56), and a spring (63) acts on the intermediate lever (42) for retaining the holder (17) in the low position. An end of the intermediate lever (42) comprises a tip (24) which is engageable with a retaining catch (45) when the holder (17) is moved into the low position.
