Auto-generated Synthetic Identities for Simulating Population Dynamics to Detect Fraudulent Activity
Publication number: 20200084239Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to a system and method for detecting fraudulent computer activity. A computing system generates a plurality of synthetic identities. Each of the plurality of synthetic identities mimics information associated with a verified identity. The computing system receives, from a user, an input attempt. The input attempt includes a synthetic identity of the plurality of synthetic identities. The computing system compares input information in the input attempt to the plurality of synthetic identities. The computing system determines that the input information in the input attempt includes information from the plurality of synthetic identities, if it does, the computing system rejects the input attempt.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2019Publication date: March 12, 2020Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Timur Sherif, Hannes Jouhikainen, Steve Blanchet -

Patent number: 10584387Abstract: Viral infection has been suspected in the development of primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS). Using a custom viral microarray, hepatitis delta virus (HDV) genomes and antigens were detected in minor salivary glands of patients with pSS. Expression of HDV antigens in healthy mice led to a Sjögren's syndrome-like pathogenesis characterized by a reduction in salivary flow, increase in lymphocytic foci, and the development of an autoantibody profile similar to HDV-positive patients. Also described herein is the detection of HDV in patients diagnosed with lymphoma. Expression of HDV antigen in healthy mice resulted in the development of tertiary lymphoid structures characteristic of the early stages of lymphoma. A sensitive, nested qPCR assay to detect HDV transcript and/or HDV genome in patient samples is also described.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2014Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: The United States of America, as represented by the Secretary, Department of Health and Human ServicesInventors: Melodie L. Patent number: 10583770Abstract: A mechanically actuated cargo restraint system for a vehicle includes a rotatable reel in a frame, a first flexible tether, a base and a pawl. The frame includes a cog having a single tooth. The first flexible tether has a first end coupled to the rotatable reel and a second end capable of being coupled to one of a vehicle and a cargo item. The first flexible tether is windable around the rotatable reel. The base rotate with the reel. The pawl is pivotally connected to the base, and is biased in a first position that allows rotation of the pawl with respect to the cog. The pawl moves to a second position responsive to centrifugal force associated with a velocity of rotation of the rotatable reel exceeding a threshold. The pawl engages the cog in the second position to inhibit relative movement of the pawl with respect to the cog.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2017Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Wolf Technical Services, Inc.Inventors: Aaron James Tolly, Amy Lynn Harris

Patent number: 10584566Abstract: An electric submersible pump assembly with integral heat exchanger, high-speed self-aligning bearings, and dual bearing thrust chamber is described. The described pump assembly, modules, and components may be used for operating an electric submersible pump at high speeds as well as over a wide range of speeds and flowrates without replacing downhole equipment. The described pump assembly may be shorter than comparable pump assemblies and may be assembled offsite, thereby leading to faster and easier installation with less down time. By operating over a wide range of speeds, the disclosed pump assembly allows the operator to reduce overall inventory, reduce down time for the well, and avoid other complications associated with replacing a pump assembly or other downhole components.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2019Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Extract Production Services, LLCInventors: Mitchell Lee Crane, Jose Mauricio Oviedo Gualdron

Patent number: 10586305Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure facilitate rigid point cloud registration with characteristics including shape constraint, translation proportional to distance and spatial point-set distribution model for handling scale. The method of the present disclosure enables registration of a rigid template point cloud to a given reference point cloud. Shape-constrained gravitation, as induced by the reference point cloud, controls movement of the template point cloud such that at each iteration, the template point cloud better aligns with the reference point cloud in terms of shape. This enables alignment in difficult conditions introduced by change such as presence of outliers and/or missing parts, translation, rotation and scaling. Also, systems and methods of the present disclosure provide an automated method as against conventional methods that depended on manually adjusted parameters.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2018Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: Swapna Agarwal, Brojeshwar Bhowmick

Patent number: 10583410Abstract: Disclosed herein are aerosol particle growth systems including polymer electrolyte membranes and related methods of increasing the size of aerosol particles. In some embodiments, an outer housing contains a reservoir of a working fluid, and a PEM conduit extends through the outer housing, the reservoir, and the working fluid so that the working fluid is in contact with an outer surface of the PEM conduit. The conduit can be generally helical or coiled, for example. In some embodiments, the working fluid is molecularly transported across the PEM and disperses into an aerosol flowing through the PEM conduit. As the aerosol flows through the PEM conduit, the aerosol particles act as nucleation sites for the gaseous working fluid, which condenses on the particles, causing the particles to grow in size and making them easier to detect, collect, measure, count, study, or otherwise investigate.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2015Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignees: The United States of America, as Represented by the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services, Regents of the University of MinnesotaInventors: Pramod S.
