Abstract: An overhead equipment support system for a patient treatment zone, such as an operating room. The support system may comprise an assembly of service hubs interconnected by runway segments to partially or completely circumscribe the treatment zone at the ceiling level while leaving the area immediately above the treatment zone open for other services, such as laminar flow air-handling equipment. An extreme load extension arm may be supported on one or more of the hubs; each such arm is capable of supporting even the heaviest types of medical equipment commonly demanded in surgical suites, especially those supported on booms or articulating arms, thereby greatly increasing the potential operating sphere of each such device. Trolleys are supported on the runway for movement between service hubs. Each trolley can support a medical device in a range of positions around the periphery of the zone as needed by the surgical team.
Abstract: During drilling of an earth borehole, resistance measurements may be made at the drill bit through use of a bottom hole assembly that includes a drill bit having a sensor, such as an electrode, located generally at an exterior surface of the drill bit. The current will be induced in the formation from multiple transmitters, at least one of which will be supported on, or very close to the drill bit. Connection mechanisms are described that enable the releasable engagement of electrical conductors to circuitry within the drill bits. The obtained resistivity measurements at the drill bit can be used for many purposes, including formation imaging and geosteering of the drilling operation.

Abstract: A tangible, machine readable storage medium stores instructions and implements a method when the instructions are executed by a processor. A source file is received by a gateway engine. The source file is a binary file. The source file is portioned into multiple parts by a breakdown engine. The multiple parts are transferred by a reliable transfer engine using a single port according to a messaging protocol to transfer messages reliably between nodes in the presence of any of software failures, component failures, system failures, or network failures. The multiple parts are reassembled into a copy of the source file by a reassembly engine.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a fleet management computer system for assessing vehicle efficiency. According to various embodiments, the fleet management computer system is configured for receiving and assessing vehicle telematics data in order to determine an idle percentage of engine run time value representing the percentage of the vehicle's engine run time during which the vehicle's engine was idling during the one or more time periods. In addition, the fleet management computer system may be configured for assessing vehicle telematics data in order to identify segment of engine idle time and generate a graphical display indicating various attributes of the identified idle time segments. The idle time percentage and idle time segments generated by the system can be used to assess the efficiency of vehicles and/or vehicle operators in an associated fleet.

Abstract: Higher order simulation of hydrocarbon flows associated with complex fractures produced in the hydraulic fracturing process in a well system may be used to obtain high fidelity results while minimizing a cost of computation. The higher order simulation of hydrocarbon flows may provide efficient and stable simulation algorithms that avoid any artificial boundary treatment inconsistent with the governing equations, while maintaining a uniform order of accuracy. In particular, a re-normalization technique implements higher-order finite difference/finite volume discretization near the boundary of the complex fractures. The simulation of hydrocarbon flows may be used to determine a production activity for the well system.
