Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a waste line of an aircraft includes: a source of cleaning solution; a hose in fluid communication with the source of cleaning solution; and a nozzle secured to a distal end of the hose and defining one or more holes for expelling the cleaning solution into a waste line. The nozzle may be provided with a protective cover composed of a plastic material that fits over and engages a distal tip of the nozzle and/or a protective ring composed of a plastic material that fits around and engages a central body of the nozzle. The apparatus may further include a connection assembly defining a first port being configured to be connected to the waste line, a second port being configured to receive the hose and the nozzle, and a third port being configured to be connected to a vacuum pump.

Abstract: An electronic smoking article includes a liquid supply including liquid material, a heater operable to heat the liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the liquid material and form an aerosol, a wick in communication with the liquid material and in communication with the heater such that the wick delivers the liquid material to the heater, and at least one air inlet operable to establish a predetermined resistance to draw under a prescribed test of said smoking article.

Abstract: A graphical user interface is provided that can be used on a diagnostic tool. The graphical user interface allows a technician to operate various functions of the diagnostic tool including searching for additional information on the Internet, receiving weather information that is relevant to certain diagnostic tests, and displaying in certain formats the retrieved vehicle data and when certain vehicles were last scanned or diagnosed.

Abstract: A saddle includes a tree having a rider-facing side and a horse-facing side, a seat cover adapted for detachable installation on the rider-facing side of the tree and an insert adapted for installation between the tree and the seat cover. Conveniently, the insert may adapt the saddle for riders of distinct size and shape and accommodate for physical differences between male and female riders. Furthermore, a connection panel secured to the horse-facing side of the tree may allow for releasably secured panel padding elements that customize the horse-facing side of the tree to a particular horse. Adjustable stirrup bars provide even further flexibility of customization.

Abstract: A method of obtaining an equivalent tool model includes obtaining a set of known well data, in which the known well data includes sensor data measured by a logging tool and an actual dispersion response, and the logging tool has an actual tool size. The method also includes obtaining one or more well parameters from the known well data, and inputting the one or more well parameters and a model tool size into a rigid tool model. The method further includes obtaining an estimated dispersion response from the rigid tool model, and fitting the estimated dispersion response to the actual dispersion response by adjusting the model tool size.

Abstract: An activation device is disclosed that can activate multiple downhole tools in a wellbore. The activation device is cost effective and easy to produce. A method for activating multiple downhole tools in a wellbore is described where at least one downhole tool is activated by magnetic field, while at least one additional downhole tool is activated by mating of the activation device with the downhole tool.

Abstract: A method, system and/or device for validating encoded information, the validation device including a memory having computer readable instructions stored thereon and a database including a plurality of validation rules, and at least one processor configured to execute the computer readable instructions to receive formatted data from at least one formatting device, extract attributes associated with encoded information from the formatted data, the extracted attributes including at least one of a formatting device identifier, a store identifier, value information from the encoded information, and time information, validate the formatted data based on the extracted attributes and the plurality of validation rules, store the results of the validation and at least a subset of the extracted attributes in the database, generate modified formatted data compatible with a POS terminal based on the results of the validation, and transmit the modified formatted data to the at least one of formatting device.

Abstract: Digital content can be broadcast in a sideband of an analog broadcast channel using multiple digital in-band on-channel (IBOC) transceivers connected in a mesh configuration to form an IBOC mesh network. The digital IBOC transceivers are positioned at various geographic locations, so that unlike traditional “HD” radio broadcasts, the IBOC broadcast transmission is spread out over a wide area, using multiple low power digital IBOC transceivers rather than being broadcast from the same location as the analog signal. An edge transceiver associated with the mesh network can deliver different broadcast content to different transceivers, or nodes, within the mesh network, by delivering content to an intermediate node and relying on the intermediate node to propagate the content through the mesh network. The mesh network provides bi-directional communication between a mesh transceiver and a user device.

Abstract: Utilizing multiple rock cores samples obtained while drilling a well to determine the mechanical properties of the rock constituting the wellbore and formation zones within the wellbore. A geomechanical model is created from the samples by nanoindentation testing to provide the raw data from which the geomechanical model is then created.

Abstract: A system and method for virtual portioning of content on a mobile device, comprising assigning each content of the plurality of content stored on the mobile device one or more tags based on a predefined environment information, identifying, a surrounding environment surrounding the mobile device in real time, associating a tag with the identified surrounding environment wherein the tag is one of the one or more tags assigned to each of the plurality of content; and controlling access to the plurality of content stored on the mobile device wherein access is granted to a portion of the content when at least one of the one or more tags assigned to each of the portion of the content matches the tag associated with the identified environment.

Abstract: A method for reducing lost circulation in a subterranean formation. The method includes providing a treatment fluid comprising a base fluid and a lost circulation material comprising brown mud. The treatment fluid is introduced into a wellbore within the subterranean formation such that at least a portion of the brown mud bridges openings in the subterranean formation to reduce loss of fluid circulation into the subterranean formation.

Abstract: A method for using an extended-life settable composition is disclosed. The method includes providing an extended-life settable composition comprising red mud, calcium hydroxide, water, and a cement set retarder. The method further includes activating the extended-life settable composition. The method additionally includes introducing the extended-life settable composition into a subterranean formation and allowing the extended-life settable composition to set in the subterranean formation.

Abstract: A method for reducing lost circulation in a subterranean formation. The method includes providing a treatment fluid comprising a base fluid and a lost circulation material comprising cane ash. The treatment fluid is introduced into a wellbore within the subterranean formation such that at least a portion of the cane ash bridges openings in the subterranean formation to reduce loss of fluid circulation into the subterranean formation.

Abstract: A content item can be produced at a first system in segments, and some or all of the content item can be transferred to second systems, via transfer of produced segments of the content item. Content preferences, database configuration and playback schedules can be configured with a remote media content processing system. This information is then transferred from the remote media content processing system to one or more other remote media content processing systems. This transferred information provides a configuration for segmented WANcasting of a content items from one or more remote media content processing systems until the content item is complete.

Abstract: A gripper device and method is provided. The method includes capturing, using an electronic device, information of an object that is indicative of holding position; determining, using the information, by a hardware processor, an optimal holding orientation and an optimal movement of at least one of (i) a plurality of fingers, or (ii) a plurality of suction cups of a gripper device; identifying the at least one of (i) the plurality of fingers, and (ii) the plurality of suction cups as one or more grasping components based on the information, the optimal holding orientation and the optimal movement; and enabling, using an actuator, the one or more identified grasping components to grasp the object based on the information, the optimal holding orientation and the optimal movement.

Abstract: Prediction systems and methods are provided. The system obtains a first social media data pertaining to a first set of users, filters the first social media data to obtain a filtered social media data, generates a word embedding matrix including co-occurrence words each represented as a vector having a context, aggregates vectors pertaining each social data to obtain a first set of vectors, and trains machine learning technique(s) (MLTs) using the first set of vectors and context of the first set of vectors. The system further obtains a second social media data pertaining to a second set of users, and performs filtering, word embedding matrix generation, and aggregation operations to obtain a second set of vectors, and further applies the trained MLTs on the second set of vectors and context associated with the second set of vectors to predict age and gender of the second set of users.
