Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus for parking occupancy detection comprises collecting video of a blockface with at least one video recording module, identifying a number of possible parking spaces along the blockface in the collected video, defining, a region of interest for each of the possible parking spaces, detecting a time dependent occupancy of the defined regions of interest for each of the possible parking spaces, and reporting the time dependent occupancy. Drift correction of the recorded video and ground truth comparisons of occupancy determinations may be provided.

Abstract: Provisioning resources into the cloud is a constantly increasing technical challenge as more cloud service providers emerge, each offering disparate computing platforms, services, assets, supported technical components, and other features. A multi-cloud network proxy controls and normalizes the tagging data applicable across the multiple cloud service providers. The network proxy provides a central control mechanism for discovering, monitoring, and updating complex tagging data applied to the technical components provisioned with the cloud service providers. The network proxy also dynamically generates technical component request interfaces that include specifically prioritized metadata tags.

Abstract: A method for promulgating and searching a database of participatory events and providing search result alerts to users. Event organizers enter events into the system using various searchable criteria. A user may search the database or setup a customized search request that the system returns to the user as alerts at predetermined times or as new events are entered into the database. The system tags events stored in the database to facilitate the provision of user alerts based upon preselected user-determined criteria.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for enforcing user policies on database. In one aspect a user policy and/or enterprise policy is predefined and mapped to the column of the database. Further, the query is run through a query parsing module, the result is sent to a query analyzing module to analyze the sensitivity of each query. A query rewriting module rewrites the query and the rewritten query is sent to the database. A sensitive tree is generated using database metadata, which is used during query analysis and query re-writing. In cases the original query does not contain any set operators the rewritten query is executed on the database and results are displayed as per the user policy. The cases where the original query comprises set operators a function called merger is implemented in the database or at the proxy server and data is displayed as per the user policy.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and systems are provided for blockchain-mediated user authentication. Consistent with disclosed embodiments, authentication may comprise operations including receiving, from a user system, an authentication request for a user. The operations may also include determining a root system for the user using a blockchain, and redirecting the user system to the root system. The operations may include receiving, following redirection, a verification message indicating that the root system successfully authenticated the user, and including an authorization code for receiving, from the root system, a root system secret. The operations may include receiving from a database, identification data using the root system secret. Determining the root system may comprise identifying, using the authentication request and index information stored in the blockchain, a block of the blockchain storing root system information for the user.

In addition, the processor sends a non-voice augmented feature that is associated with the potential language interpreter/translator to the mobile computing device so that the mobile computing device renders the non-voice augmented feature on a display device of the mobile computing device. Abstract: Predictive regression models are widely used in different domains such as life sciences, healthcare, pharma etc. and variable selection, is employed as one of the key steps. Variable selection can be performed using random or exhaustive search techniques. Unlike a random approach, the exhaustive search approach, evaluates each possible combination and consequently, is a computationally hard problem, thus limiting its applications. The embodiments of the present disclosure perform i) parallelization and optimization of critical time consuming steps of the technique, Variable Selection and Modeling based on the Prediction (VSMP) ii) its applications for the generation of the best possible predictive models using input dataset (e.g., Blood Brain Barrier Permeation data) and iii) business impact of predictive models that are requires the selection of larger number of variables.

Abstract: A method to minimize borehole effects upon a multi-component induction tool within a well and borehole with water-based mud includes measuring parameters of the reservoir with the induction tool to create an array of measured components. The method further includes comparing a measured component from the array of measured components with a corresponding model component from an array of model components for a reservoir model with known parameters and no borehole effects, and determining the parameters for the reservoir based upon the comparison of the measured component and the corresponding model component.

Abstract: Provided are methods and kits for classifying a subject as being more likely to have benign multiple sclerosis (BMS) or as being more likely to have typical relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Classification of multiple sclerosis disease course is performed by comparing a level of expression of at least one gene involved in the RNA polymerase I pathway in a cell of the subject to a reference expression data of said at least one gene obtained from a cell of at least one subject pre-diagnosed as having BMS and/or from a cell of at least one subject pre-diagnosed as having typical RRMS, thereby classifying the subject as being more likely to have BMS or as being more likely to have typical RRMS. Also provided are methods of diagnosing and treating multiple sclerosis and methods of monitoring treatment efficiency.

The system creates a numerical solution to mathematical model of a blood pressure (BP) regulation, lumped mathematical model of a radial artery and partial differential equation (PDE) model of the radial artery. These models are then used to generate an inference engine using. The inference engine is trained using an artificial neural network technique. At the same time the PPG signal of the person is sensed and preprocessed. The preprocessed PPG signal is then given to the trained inference engine. The trained inference engine generates a stress parameter corresponding to the person based on the processed PPG signal.

Moreover, time spent and required to perform an action on content are determined based on the profile. In addition, a list of desires associated with the user and/or friends is determined based upon the activities and/or time spent and required to perform the action on the content. Also, the list of desires are ranked based on the activities to be performed by the user and friends. The user and/or friends are then engaged by providing a micro-interaction on the digital device based on the ranking of the list of desires and a time required to download online content.
