  • Patent number: 9836743
Abstract: A user interface to register merchants. The user interface is configured to allow a merchant to search and identify a set of transaction parameters that are used in authorization and/or settlement messages of payment transactions initiated for a store of the merchant and allow the merchant to obtain a store identifier representing the set of transaction parameters. The store identifier, for example, can be used to label offers of the store of the merchant. Thus, whether or not an authorization or settlement message transmitted in the payment processing network for a payment transaction is for the store can be determined based on whether or not the transaction parameters in the message match with the set of transaction parameters represented by the store identifier.

  • Patent number: 9835757
Abstract: Casing condition is an important concern to oilfield operators. Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using neutron logging tools to measure casing condition, using windows in the gamma energy spectrum that are sensitive and insensitive to casing condition to obtain a ratio having a value that ranges between one extreme representative of completely absent casing and an opposite extreme representative of casing in good condition. The sensitive (“divergence”) window may be positioned at or near 7.65 MeV, the characteristic energy of gamma rays from a neutron capture event by an iron nucleus. The insensitive (“consistency”) window is preferably adjacent to the divergence window with a comparable size to the divergence window. A suitable division point between the windows may be about 6.25 MeV.

  • Patent number: 9835241
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and process for removing hardened lubricant, contaminants and other debris from an enclosed gearbox of an actuator in the gas, oil, and power industries that allows the oil or gas pipeline to continue to operate uninterrupted during servicing. The system operates at a low pressure and includes two pumps: an upstream pump that pumps a non-corrosive mineral oil-based cleaning agent into the gearbox; and a downstream pump that pulls off the pressure from within the gearbox as part of the circulation of the flush system. The system and process are further provided with a clean tank for storing an influent cleaning agent, a waste tank for storing an effluent cleaning agent, and a circulation tank used during the flush circulation process. The system and process may also include a rotatable mounting assembly that is secured to the gearbox of the actuator.

  • Patent number: 9836942
Abstract: A person support apparatus supports a person in a laying-down or a seated position. One or more body-mounted sensors detect changes in the position of the person relative to a reference. A control system receives output from the body-mounted sensor or sensors through a remote coupling. The control system uses patient position information obtained from the body-mounted sensors to determine whether the person has experienced a change-in-position and/or a change-in-activity event. Alternatively or in addition, the position of the person situated on a person support apparatus is detected using one or more sensors that are not body-mounted, but rather are coupled to the person support apparatus or to another component of a patient support system. The patient position information is used to estimate the patient's torso angle. The estimated torso angle is used to assess the patient's condition.

  • Patent number: 9836979
Abstract: A method and system for identifying demand in a transportation system. A boarding count model is determined based upon passenger arrival information, and a geographic and time-specific generalized boarding model is determined based upon the boarding count model as well as information related to a plurality of stops on a route in the transportation system. For each of the plurality of stops, an approximated uniform arrival model is determined based upon the generalized arrival model and a time period between arriving vehicles at a specific stop, an instantaneous demand model is determined based upon the uniform arrival model, and a probability of no demand model is determined based upon the uniform arrival model. A report including the instantaneous demand and the probability of no demand determined can be generated. Based upon the report, various operational parameters for the transportation system can be manually or automatically adjusted.

  • Patent number: 9836923
Abstract: A mobile application or mobile website allows a user of a mobile device to make player selections associated with the order of a lottery ticket. The mobile device then displays a machine-readable code image. When a lottery retailer scans the image, the code conveys the lottery ticket order to the retail system, allowing the retailer to sell lottery tickets corresponding with the order. The mobile application or website may record player selections for reuse, record purchased tickets to report lottery status to the player, and assist the player in locating a lottery retailer. Further, a lottery image ticket may be transmitted to the user's mobile device or to an account which can be accessed through the user's mobile device. The lottery image ticket can then be presented to the retailer equipment for winnings check and redemption.

  • Patent number: 9833519
Abstract: Described herein is the finding that patients with Sjögren's syndrome exhibit a statistically significant increase in expression of BMP6 in the salivary gland, relative to healthy control subjects. Also described herein is the finding that overexpression of BMP6 in the salivary glands of mice results in an increase in electrical potential across the salivary gland. Thus, provided herein are methods of diagnosing a subject as having Sjögren's syndrome, or at risk for developing Sjögren's syndrome, by measuring the level of BMP6 expression in a salivary gland of a subject, measuring electrical potential in a salivary gland of a subject, or both. Also provided herein are methods of treating a subject with Sjögren's syndrome by administering an agent that inhibits expression of BMP6 expression or activity. Also described herein is the use of XIST and MECP2 as diagnostic and therapeutic targets for male Sjögren's syndrome patients.
