Abstract: A system for capturing property damage images includes an imaging device and a knowledge base of property damage incident types. The knowledge base also includes, for each category, one or more image acquisition parameters that are associated with the category. A processor receives a property damage incident type for a property damage claim that is associated with a property that reportedly experienced an incident, retrieves from the knowledge base one or more image acquisition parameters that are associated with the received incident type, and uses the one or more applicable image acquisition parameters to automatically cause the imaging device to capture digital images of the property using the retrieved one or more image acquisition parameters.

Abstract: A system and method for recursively rendering, caching, and/or retrieving a display object bitmap is provided. In some implementations, an image may be rendered on a client computing platform using an image list of one or more bitmap objects. The one or more object bitmaps may be generated in response to obtaining information defining a vector image in an image frame in an animation. An image list may be maintained for an image to be rendered based on the vector image of a frame of animation and/or some or all of the frames in the animation. The image list may store one or more references to one or more respective bitmap objects that are associated with the image to be rendered.
Abstract: A method, system and computer-usable medium are disclosed for the processing of information collected by a mobile device at the site of an incident. An incident information processing system, comprising an incident location information module, receives incident information provided in a communication originated from a mobile device. The received incident information is processed by the incident location information module to provide location information, which is then used to provide incident response services. Image and audio information relating to the incident are likewise provided by the mobile device for processing into incident information. Incident statement questions are generated by the incident information processing system and are then presented via the mobile device for response by various parties associated with the incident. Responses to the questions are collected via the mobile device, processed into incident statements, and stored in the incident information and claims repository.

Abstract: A vaporizer apparatus for vaporizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) into vapor-phase natural gas for injection into an oil or gas well, comprises a blower assembly, a burner section, a heat exchanger section, and at least one flammable gas concentration sensor. The blower assembly comprises a primary blower configured to move air along an air flow path through the vaporizer apparatus and a flame arrestor configured to allow passage of the air into the vaporizer apparatus and impede passage of a flame out of the vaporizer apparatus. The burner section comprises an enclosure having an upstream end coupled to the blower assembly and a downstream end, and a burner inside the enclosure and in the air flow path for heating the air.
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and apparatus structured to increase efficiencies of a drilling operation. A drilling apparatus can be structured to include a hammer drill to move a hammer to impart impact force to a bit box in conjunction with a rotary drive shaft. The hammer drill can be arranged as a mechanical drive hammer capable of being applied to both fluid drilling and air drilling. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.
Abstract: A method and method for natural language generation employ a natural language generation model which has been trained to assign an utterance label to a new text sequence, based on features extracted from the text sequence, such as parts-of-speech. The model assigns an utterance label to the new text sequence, based on the extracted features. The utterance label is used to guide the generation of a natural language utterance, such as a question, from the new text sequence. The system and method find application in dialog systems for generating utterances, to be sent to a user, from brief descriptions of problems or solutions in a knowledge base.
Abstract: A valve assembly including a valve having an opening and closing mechanism for controlling the flow of a fluid through the valve controlled by an actuator and an actuator mounting bracket secured to the valve. The actuator mounting bracket includes upper and lower clamps securing the valve actuator to the valve regardless of the valve position.
Abstract: Use of traceable micro-electro-mechanical systems (“MEMS”) in subterranean formations. A method may comprise introducing a treatment fluid comprising a traceable micro-electro-mechanical system into a wellbore, wherein the traceable micro-electro-mechanical system comprises a micro-electro-mechanical system and a tagging material.
Abstract: A system and method for detecting electronic device use by a driver of a vehicle including acquiring an image including a vehicle from an associated image capture device positioned to view oncoming traffic, locating a windshield region of the vehicle in the captured image, processing pixels of the windshield region of the image for computing a feature vector describing the windshield region of the vehicle, applying the feature vector to a classifier for classifying the image into respective classes including at least classes for candidate electronic device use and candidate electronic device non-use, and outputting the classification.

Abstract: A mechanically actuated cargo restraint system for a vehicle includes a rotatable reel in a frame, first and second flexible tethers, and a mechanical device. The first flexible tether has a first end coupled to the rotatable reel and a second end capable of being coupled to a cargo item, the first flexible tether is windable around the rotatable reel. The mechanical device includes a pawl and cog that are movable with respect to each other, the pawl coupled to the rotatable reel for rotatable movement therewith. Movement of a cargo item attached to the first flexible tether that causes the first flexible tether to move in an unwinding direction on the rotatable reel causes movement of the pawl-containing member relative to the cog. Velocity in the unwinding direction such as that encountered during a crash or free-fall engages the pawl into the cog, thereby inhibiting movement of the first flexible tether in an unwinding direction on the rotatable reel.
Abstract: Methods including preparing a treatment fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid, a gelling agent, and crosslinker-coated particulates, wherein the crosslinker-coated particulates are formed by at least partially coating a particulate with a stabilizing agent, and at least partially coating the particulate with a first crosslinking agent atop the stabilizing agent, wherein the stabilizing agent imparts a hydrophobic nature to the particulate when the stabilizing agent is at least partially coated onto the particulate; introducing the treatment fluid into a subterranean formation, and reacting the first crosslinking agent with the gelling agent in the treatment fluid so as to crosslink the gelling agent and suspend the crosslinker-coated particulates.
Abstract: Preparing a treatment fluid comprising a base fluid and magnetic proppant particulates, wherein the magnetic proppant particulates comprise proppant particulates at least partially coated with a stabilization agent and magnetic particles, and preparing a spacer fluid comprising a base fluid, a gelling agent, and a breaker. Introducing the treatment fluid and the spacer fluid intermittently into a subterranean formation comprising a fracture so as to alternate placement of the magnetic proppant particulates in the treatment fluid with the spacer fluid in the fracture, and activating the magnetic particles, wherein the activated magnetic particles cause the magnetic proppant particulates to agglomerate. Propping open the fracture with the magnetic proppant particulates, and activating the breaker in the spacer fluid so as to at least partially remove the spacer fluid from the fracture, thereby leaving behind substantially magnetic proppant particulate-free channels between the magnetic proppant particulates.

Abstract: Methods including deactivation and activation of permeability modifiers for use in subterranean formation operations. A first treatment fluid may be introduced into a subterranean formation having a first treatment zone having a first aqueous permeability value, the first treatment fluid comprising a first aqueous base fluid and a deactivated permeability modifier. The deactivated permeability modifier may be adsorbed onto a surface of the first treatment zone. A second treatment may thereafter be introduced into the subterranean formation, the second treatment fluid comprising a second aqueous base fluid and a cyclodextrin compound. The second treatment fluid may contact the deactivated permeability modifier to activate the permeability modifier by complexing the deactivating surfactant with the cyclodextrin compound, thereby forming an activated permeability modifier adsorbed onto the surface of the first treatment zone and reducing the aqueous permeability of the first treatment zone.
