Abstract: A method includes positioning a coil antenna in a first pipe concentrically arranged within a second pipe, the coil antenna having a first terminal, a second terminal, and one or more wires that exhibit a winding density proceeding radially between the first and second terminals according to a given function. The first and second terminals are then excited with an alternating current or voltage, and a signal is measured between the first and second terminals. A characteristic of at least one of the first and second pipes is then calculated based on the signal.
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for detecting a security threat. The methods and systems comprise detecting that a first device is coupled with the first I/O interface, responsive to the detection that the first device is coupled with the first I/O interface, temporarily disabling data communication between the first and second I/O interfaces, acquiring a file from the detected first device via the first I/O interface, determining whether the acquired file poses a security threat, and responsive to a determination that the acquired file does not pose a security threat, enabling the data communication between the first and second I/O interfaces.

Abstract: A method of measuring fluid flow conditions in a wellbore includes generating an acoustic probe signal during fluid flow along the wellbore, measuring the performance attribute of the acoustic probe signal within a target frequency range, and of the fluid medium in at least a part of the wellbore based on the measured performance parameters. The target frequency range of the acoustic probe signal encompasses a bubble resonance frequency range for vapor bubbles in the wellbore, for example having frequencies in excess of 20 kHz. An estimated bubble size value may be calculated based on determining a frequency at which the measured probe signal experiences the retardation or peak attenuation.
Abstract: In some aspects, an acoustic analysis system includes an acoustic source and a laser vibrometer. In some instances, the acoustic source can generate an acoustic signal in a wellbore defined in a subterranean region, and the laser vibrometer can detect movement of a surface in the wellbore in response to the acoustic signal. The detected movement can be analyzed, for example, to identify properties of materials in the subterranean region.
