Abstract: Methods for preventing or alleviating the loss of drilling fluids and other well treatment fluids into a subterranean formation during drilling or construction of boreholes therein include a drilling fluid including a lost circulation material. The lost circulation material includes a suspension of swelled particles of a pH sensitive polymeric material, the swelled particles capable of reversibly attaching to other swelled particles of the polymeric material. The pH of the aqueous solution is such that each particle of the swelled pH sensitive polymeric material is not attached to other swelled particles, and wherein upon lowering the pH of the suspension, the swelled particles attach to each other.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods of producing from multiple production zones with a single trip multi-zone completion system. One single trip multi-zone completion system includes an outer completion string having at least one sand screen arranged thereabout and an interval control valve coupled to the at least one sand screen, a production tubing communicably coupled to the outer completion string at a crossover coupling, a control line extending external to the production tubing and being communicably coupled to the crossover coupling, and a surveillance line extending from the crossover coupling external to the outer completion string and interposing the at least one formation zone and the at least one sand screen, the surveillance line being communicably coupled to the interval control valve.

Abstract: Disclosed is a secondary system and method for initiating a down hole operation in a wellbore when a primary activation system fails. The primary activation system is configured to provide fluid communication between a first chamber and a second chamber in response to a primary activation operation. The secondary activation system includes a passageway between the first chamber and the second chamber, and a rupture member positioned in the passageway. The rupture member has a threshold pressure differential at which the rupture member ruptures to afford fluid communication between the first chamber and the second chamber to thereby initiate the down hole operation if the primary activation system fails. The primary activation operation may be configured to move a trigger member to initiate the down hole operation, whereas the secondary activation operation may be configured to initiate the down hole operation without moving the trigger member.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus and a system, as well as a method and an article, may operate to transform acquired data into transformed data using at least one transform selected from a plurality of transforms according to an optimization metric calculation that operates on single, fixed-length packets of the transformed data, and a preselected quality criterion threshold. Further activity may include transmitting an amplified version of an electrical signal in a geological formation, the electrical signal including the transformed data. The amplified version may be received, and further activity may include transforming the transformed data into an estimate of acquired data, the transforming using at least one transform selected from a plurality of transforms according to an optimization metric calculation that operates on single, fixed-length packets of the transformed data and/or the estimate, and a preselected quality criterion threshold. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for testing new profiles and rules against past transaction data in a quick manner are provided. A set of transactions is identified by a merchant based on a selection criterion that is replayed against the new profile. Results of the replay are recorded and compared against the original results obtained from applying an existing profile to the same set of transaction data. A tic-tac-toe report is generated for the merchant showing shifts in transaction results between the existing profile and the new profile. Embodiments of the invention further allow merchants to generate multiple scores, in parallel, against different transaction models using knobs or hedges.

Abstract: The disclosure concerns computing systems of financial institutions and computing systems that interact and support functions of financial institutions, including porting of addresses between financial institutions. When implemented as a computer, the computer enables, in communication with a network the association of a user identifier with a gaining financial institution (FI), wherein the user identifier is associated with an original FI. The computer receives from the gaining FI a request to associate the user identifier with the gaining FI. The computer then sends to the original FI the request. In response, the computer receives from the original FI a confirmation of the request and stores in computer storage a change in the association of the user identifier from the original FI to the gaining FI. As a result, a user can change accounts and FIs without having to also change the user identifier.

Cementing methods can comprise: providing a cement composition comprising a cement and a property control package, the property control package comprising: a filtration control agent; a friction reducer; and a setting accelerator; introducing the cement composition into a mineral exploration wellbore; and setting the cement composition in the wellbore.

Abstract: A completion assembly for operation in a subterranean well having multiple production zones. The completion assembly includes a lower completion assembly operably positionable in the well. The lower completion assembly includes first and second zonal isolation subassemblies. An upper completion assembly is operably positionable at least partially within the lower completion assembly to establish fluid communication between first and second fluid flow control modules, respectively, with the first and second zonal isolation subassemblies. A first communication medium having a connection between the upper and lower completion assemblies extends through the first and second zonal isolation subassemblies. A second communication medium is operably associated with the first and second fluid flow control modules. Data obtained by monitoring fluid from the production zones is carried by the first and second communication media and is used to control production through the first and second fluid flow control modules.

Abstract: Preauthorized payments may be made to service providers, repair shops and even vendors serving employees on business trips through credit card processing. The approved payment amount is authorized on a virtually created payment card which is then sent to the payee. These transactions incur interchange fees for the card processing. Therefore, unlike a check or EFT payment, the payee receives the approved payment less interchange fees. Interchange rates vary based on the payment card product offered by an issuing bank in addition to factors relating to how the payment card is processed. The current invention is a method of automatically generating a virtual payment card and/or processing the card in a manner to achieve a target interchange fee.

A plurality of linerless duplex labels are provided and each label includes a single-ply stock with top and bottom faces. The label also includes an endless adhesive border applied to the bottom face. The adhesive border is an unactivated, selectively activatable adhesive, such labels are overlaid on one another without any substantial adhesion therebetween. Each label may essentially be freely removed from the others, and the adhesive may thereafter be activated so that the label can be adhesively applied to the substrate.

The users needed to be re-mapped are determined upon the event completion. Application role defined in context of an application embedded in an application registry module is mapped with the provisioning unit. Call back service is executed for the re-mapped users having entitlement associated with each of the application stored in a roles registry module. An application role is determined and defined for a new user for the plurality of the application enabling managing of the role based access control.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a visual reporting system generates a 3-dimensional (3D) interactive vehicle inspection report comprising 3D model data and inspection data for a particular vehicle. The inspection data, such as recommended repair items, are associated with graphical vehicle sections in the 3D model. Further, additional inspection data, such as instructional videos or inspection photographs, can be provided to a user desiring additional detail. By providing an interactive visual representation of inspection data, the 3D inspection report provides a report that can be customized to provide different levels of detail to different users. In addition, the 3D model can provide a visually compact summary of the inspection data by marking on the 3D model the repair items for the vehicle. Use of the 3D inspection report can raise the likelihood that the vehicle owner understands the need for repair, leading to more repair orders for repair facilities.
