Abstract: A method and system of personalizing a mobile phone over a wireless network is provided. The method is fast, reliable, and eliminates the need for an uninterrupted online connection to a host server in order to achieve successful download of user information. With the method and system, a mobile phone can be personalized for various purposes, such as for conducting financial transactions.

Abstract: Optical analysis systems may be useful in detecting microannulus formation in a wellbore casing and remediating a microannulus. In some instances, a system may include a cement sheath disposed about and in contact with at least a portion of an exterior surface of a casing; and at least one optical computing device arranged coupled to the casing, the at least one optical computing device having at least one integrated computational element configured to optically interact with a material of interest and thereby generate optically interacted light, and at least one detector arranged to receive the optically interacted light and generate an output signal corresponding to a characteristic of the material of interest, the material of interest comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of the cement sheath, a displacement composition disposed between the cement sheath and the exterior surface of the casing, and any combination thereof.

Abstract: The invention provides methods of treating or preventing malaria comprising administering to an animal an effective amount of a compound of formula (I): Q-Y—R1—R2 (I), wherein Q, Y, R1, and R2 are as described herein. Methods of inhibiting a plasmodial surface anion channel of a parasite in an animal are also provided. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound represented by formula (I) in combination with any one or more compounds represented by formulas II, V, and VI. Use of the pharmaceutical compositions for treating or preventing malaria or for inhibiting a plasmodial surface anion channel in animals including humans are also provided. Also provided by the invention are clag3 amino acid sequences and related nucleic acids, vectors, host cells, populations of cells, antibodies, and pharmaceutical compositions.

Abstract: An action oriented social collaboration system monitors users' interactions with computer software applications. The system provides the interactions to a social networking system. The system publishes the interactions data to a social networking/collaboration interface viewable by members of a group, such as a project team. The system not only publishes data corresponding to a user's interactions with the computer software application, but also publishes the user's interactions with the computer software application to interfaces corresponding to other project team members as well.

Abstract: An enterprise activity pattern analysis system retrieves log data from a social networking system. The log data includes information characterizing user interactions with a team group space hosted by, or document uploaded to, the social networking system. The system analyzes the log data to detect patterns in the user interactions. The system embeds widgets into the group space and into the documents uploaded to the social networking system that provide visual representations of the pattern analysis.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for reduction of data packet loss for the multiple network interfaces. Particularly, the invention provides a cross layer system for reduction of data packet loss based on dynamic analysis of network conditions. Further, the invention provides a system and method of estimation of network condition and adapting the transmit queue of the multiple interfaces according to channel condition/available bandwidth of the associated network.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pharmaceutical composition that includes a combination of about 2-5 milligrams of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and from about 2-30 milligrams of an opioid analgesic in a single pharmaceutical dosage unit that can provide effective chronic pain management with the added benefit of reduced side effects such as withdrawal and gastrointestinal disorders. The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug may be piroxicam and the opioid analgesic may be buprenorphine. The present invention also provides for a method of managing pain in a patient that includes administering the pharmaceutical composition previously described. The pharmaceutical composition previously described may be administered in a single or multiple dosage regimens.

This circuitry includes a cell phone module with a built in GPS sensor for supplying GPS coordinates and communicating by dispatcher with the vest wearer's name and other identifying information.
