Abstract: Methods and apparatus for performing a wellbore operation. A thermal compensator is introduced into a wellbore having a temperature. The thermal compensator comprises an outer layer comprising a first material, an inner layer comprising a second material, and a core disposed between the inner layer and the outer layer; wherein the core comprises a third material. The third material has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the first material and the second material. The core contracts when the wellbore temperature is decreasing and the contraction of the core moves the outer layer such that it applies a force to a structure adjacent to the outer layer.

Abstract: This disclosure provides system and method for auto repairing vulnerable code program fragments of a software. The present disclosure addresses problems of conventional approaches which are dependent on test cases. In the present disclosure, vulnerabilities in an input application are identified and repaired. First, a plurality of vulnerability detection rules is executed against an application in binary form (i.e., input application) and a plurality of vulnerable code fragments are identified. Post identification of the plurality of vulnerable code fragments, a mapping is created from the application in binary form to its source code files. Post mapping, paths capturing different application functionalities are extracted. Subsequently, a plurality of vulnerable source code program fragments is extracted and auto repair rules are applied on entire application functionality.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for verifying authenticity of items using blockchain operations. In particular, an authentication system may be used to perform validation operations. The authentication system may monitor a blockchain (e.g., via a blockchain node) for any blockchain operations to an address of a cryptography-based storage application controlled by the authentication system (e.g., an authentication system maintained by the manufacturer of the item). When the authentication system detects such operation, the authentication system may retrieve an identifier of an item (e.g., a serial number) from the blockchain operation and determine, based on the identifier, whether the item is authentic. The authentication system may then use the source address of the cryptography-based storage application that requested verification and generate another blockchain operation to respond and verify authenticity.
