Abstract: An inventory management system utilizes unattended facilities remote from a central warehouse for service parts logistics. Items are placed in inventory in secure enclosures at the unattended facilities by the inventory management service or are delivered directly to the unattended facility. The unattended facilities may be located near one or more customers to reduce a service technician's travel time and customers' inventory costs. A service technician utilizes a passcode to retrieve needed items. The service technician may order items that are not kept in the inventory of the unattended facility in which case the items may be delivered to the unattended facility and the service technician may receive a notification related to all the items that comprise an order that the order is ready for pick up at an unattended facility.

The machine may include a plurality of hardware devices which are accessible through the fascia. The hardware devices may include a cash dispenser (24), receipt printer (20), and a card reader (22). The fascia may include replaceable bezels (550,552) with apertures therein for providing access to hardware devices. The bezels may be operative to float with respect to the fascia and hardware devices to automatically align hardware devices with the bezels. In addition the hardware devices may include movable portions which are operative to automatically align with the bezels. The bezels may include ramps, ribs, or other angled surfaces which guide the hardware devices into alignment with the openings in the bezels.

Deposited items may be provided to the machine in envelopes which are first passed to a user from an envelope storage area (132) in the machine through a transport (124) and which are presented to the user through an opening (244). An envelope storage and dispensing device (134) is operative to assure that only a single envelope is delivered to the user. A user may thereafter include deposit items in the dispensed envelope. The deposited items are passed through the opening (244) and are deposited in a deposit-holding container (128). The deposited items may be marked with indicia corresponding to the transaction or properties of the deposited item where the envelope originally dispensed to the user for holding the deposited item.

Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for facilitating the management of pipeline reliability, maintenance, repair, and/or replacement. Embodiments may be computer-implemented, and may be suitable for prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (e.g., PCCP). Method steps include inspecting the pipe and storing or inputting design and inspection parameters, as well as the maximum expected pressure within the pipe. A relation of pressure versus degradation (e.g., number of broken wires) may be used, which may have zones of risk or classifications corresponding to pipe management actions. The pipe may be analyzed for lack of prestress over various portions of circumference and length. The pipe rupture pressure, crack onset pressure, or can rupture pressure may be analyzed and compared to the expected pressure. The method may be tested and the inspection repeated while tracking changes. The action may involve, for instance, doing nothing, monitoring the pipe, repairing the pipe, or replacing the pipe.

Abstract: Methods and systems for obtaining a random sample from a batch of delivery items include determining what type of items are to be sampled, how many items are in the batch, and where the items in the batch are located. The items are typically located in several places as they undergo a sorting and delivery process. The number of items needed for the random sample, and the location(s) of the items to be included in the random sample is determined. The determined number of items are pulled from the batch at the specified location(s). The pulled items forming the random sample may then be analyzed to determine whether the batch conforms to information describing the batch and/or standards applicable to the batch.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for reporting to subscribers, wireless network events in a plurality of formats and languages depending upon the particular subscriber group to which a wireless subscriber belongs. When a subscriber requests a call, a switching node in the network invokes a trigger that identifies a location register for routing the call and sends a route request to the location register. While processing the route request, if the location register detects an event that would prevent the call from being routed, the location register identifies the subscriber group of the wireless subscriber and determines a directory number associated with the identified subscriber group and the detected event. The location register then returns the determined directory number to the switching node. Using the determined directory number, the switching node establishes the call to a message node, where a message associated with the determined directory number is executed.

The jumbled ball display device preferably does not affect the outcome of the game played on the game apparatus. The gaming device further includes a prize display in communication with the game apparatus. The prize display is preferably adapted to select a prize ball to convey the outcome of the game and display the selected prize ball. The gaming device also preferably includes a media dispenser in communication with the game apparatus.
