Publication number: 20240005311Abstract: Disclosed are examples of a method, a wearable device and a system enabling authentication of a user of a payment account or completion of a purchase transaction via signals generated by the wearable device. A process may include a wearable device generating a modulated signal using an encryption algorithm. The modulated signal may contain authentication information related to the wearable device including a cryptographic authentication message. The modulated signal is output to a biological medium interface of the wearable device that is coupled to a biological medium of a wearer of the wearable device. The biological medium is operable to conduct the modulated signal. A receiving device processes including decrypting and demodulating the modulated signal received from the biological medium. Using the demodulated signal, the authentication information transmitted from the wearable device is obtained. Based on the obtained authentication information, a transaction may be authorized, or a user authenticated.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Kevin OSBORN, Jeffrey RULE, David WURMFELD

Publication number: 20240007472Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for bypassing secondary tiers of authentication for particular security categories. An authentication system, when authenticating a user, may receive an authentication request with authentication data enabling authentication through a multi-tier authentication mechanism. When the request has been authenticated through a multi-tier authentication mechanism, the authentication system may identify a category associated with the request and generate a temporal unlock flag for that category of future requests, such that the temporal unlock flag indicates that multi-tier authentication is not required for a predetermined amount of time for requests of that category. The temporal unlock flag may be inserted into the user's record. When future requests of that same category are received, only a single-tier authentication mechanism may be required for authentication.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Geeta SHYAMALA, Lee ADCOCK

Publication number: 20240004965Abstract: A disclosed method includes a data distribution computer receiving a data packet comprising a plurality of data values in response to an interaction between a resource provider and a user. The data distribution computer can then determine a data item for each data value of the plurality of data values and associate each data value to a processing computer using the data item for each data value. It can generate a plurality of authorization request messages comprising at least one data value. It can then transmit the plurality of authorization request messages to a plurality of processing computers adapted to process the data values in the respective authorization request messages, where the plurality of processing computers process the data values in the respective authorization request messages. The plurality of authorization request messages are subsequently forwarded to the authorization computer. The authorization computer then analyzes each authorization request message.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Visa International Service AssociationInventor: Nick Roberts

Publication number: 20240004711Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for a resource allocation system. The resource allocation system may obtain a corresponding quantity of resources (e.g., memory, processor, storage, etc.) needed to be allocated for each resource class (e.g., for a given performance class) for a particular time period (e.g., for one month). Publication number: 20240005686Abstract: State of the art techniques used for document processing and particularly for handling processing of images for data extraction have the disadvantage that they have large computational load and memory footprint. The disclosure herein generally relates to text processing, and, more particularly, to a method and system for generating a data model for text extraction from documents. The system prunes a pretrained base model using a Lottery Ticket Hypothesis (LTH) algorithm, to generate a LTH pruned data model. The system further trims the LTH pruned data model to obtain a structured pruned data model, which involves discarding filters that have filter sparsity exceeding a threshold of filter sparsity. The structured pruned data model is then trained from a teacher model in a Knowledge Distillation algorithm, wherein a resultant data model obtained after training the structured pruned data model forms the data model for text detection.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: Nupur SUMEET, Manoj Karunakaran NAMBIAR, Karan RAWAT

Publication number: 20240004388Abstract: A system and method for navigation of a robot from a first area to a second area in a facility is provided. The present disclosure is providing robot navigation using the ‘Areagoal’ Navigation technique. ‘Areagoal’ class of problem is divided into two subtasks: identifying the area; and navigation from one area to another. The robot starts in first location and goes out of the current area if it is not in the target area. If there are multiple openings from the first area, it needs to select the most statistically close one to the target area and go there. If the target area is not reached, it backtracks to an earlier viable branch position to continue the target area search. The system takes input from RGB-D camera and odometer, while the output is action space (left, right, forward) with goal of moving to target area.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: SNEHASIS BANERJEE, SAYAN PAUL, RUDDRA DEV ROYCHOUDHURY, ABHIJAN BHATTACHARYYA

Publication number: 20240004847Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for improving anomaly detection in timeseries datasets. Different machine learning models may be trained to process specific types of timeseries data efficiently and accurately. Thus, selecting a proper machine learning model for identifying anomalies in a specific set of timeseries data may greatly improve accuracy and efficiency of anomaly detection. Another way to improve anomaly detection is to process a multitude of timeseries datasets for a time period (e.g., 90 days) to detect anomalies from those timeseries datasets and then correlate those detected anomalies by generating an anomaly timeseries dataset and identifying anomalies within the anomaly timeseries dataset. Yet another way to improve anomaly detection is to divide a dataset into multiple datasets based on a type of anomaly detection requested.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Vannia GONZALEZ MACIAS, Scott GARCIA, Peter TERRANA
