  • Publication number: 20230239156
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for scrubbing anomalies from an expanding dataset. In an embodiment, a data sanitization system may determine whether data is anomalous to a set of data stored on a first blockchain. The data sanitization system may perform this determination using a first machine learning algorithm trained using the set of data. Upon determining that data is anomalous, the data sanitization system may publish the data in a second blockchain different from the first blockchain. The data sanitization system may monitor data of the second blockchain and apply a second machine learning algorithm to this data to identify a pattern of anomalous data. In response to identifying the pattern, the data sanitization system may publish the anomalous data of the second blockchain to the first blockchain.

  • Publication number: 20230237173
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for preemptively evaluating whether roles are over-privileged within an (IAM) identity and access management system. Roles may be over-privileged when they are granted permissions to perform certain actions outside the scope granted to those roles. The evaluation occurs without submitting the certain actions to the IAM system and allows roles to be evaluated on a preemptive basis so that corrective actions may be taken to prevent unauthorized access to resources. Roles may be associated with policies which may each define different permissions for accessing resources. The evaluation may involve generating an effective policy from the policies associated with a role to provide a comprehensive view of all permissions associated with the role.

  • Patent number: 11710130
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and apparatus are provided to reduce false fraudulent declines of transactions. Payment processor (PP) systems may be provided with a request acceptor and a replacement transaction generator. The request acceptor receives a notification of a decline of a first transaction attempted by a cardholder with a merchant, for allegedly fraudulent, and a request to determine whether the first transaction was falsely identified as fraudulent, and if so, to remedy the first transaction. The replacement transaction generator generates, in response to a determination that the first transaction was falsely identified as fraudulent, and the merchant is a false fraudulent reduction partner merchant, a replacement second transaction to replace the declined first transaction. The replacement second transaction may include a bypass authorization code, and made available to the cardholder to use to transact with the merchant bypassing the declined first transaction.

  • Patent number: 11707388
Abstract: An absorbent article has one or more fluid filter layers to inhibit electrode traces from being exposed to low volumes of fluid to reduce the number of false positives that are indicated by an RFID tag of the incontinence detection pad. An antenna inlay has a sacrificial trace portion to permit testing for proper operation of an RFID chip electrically coupled to the antenna inlay. After testing, the sacrificial trace portion is severed. A fluid barrier layer blocks fluid from reaching portions of electrode traces that are located on a backsheet outside a periphery of an absorbent core of an incontinence detection pad. The power at which an antenna transmits to wirelessly energize a passive RFID tag of an incontinence detection pad is controlled to reduce the number of false positives indicated by the RFID tag.

  • Patent number: 11707387
Abstract: An incontinence detection pad has an RFID tag in which an authentication code, such as an electronic product code (EPC), is stored. A reader in wireless communication with the RFID tag of the incontinence detection pad verifies that the incontinence detection pad is an authorized detection pad. Thus, unauthorized incontinence detection pads that do not have the proper authentication code are not able to be used in an incontinence detection system.

  • Patent number: 11710150
Abstract: First and second cookies are obtained from first and second devices, respectively. The first cookie includes a first ID corresponding to a registered user ID, which is in turn associated with first information indicating activities related to interactions of a registered user with a first website. The second cookie includes a second ID corresponding to an anonymous user ID, which is in turn associated with second information identifying activities related to interactions of an anonymous user with a second website. The first and second user IDS, and the first and second information, are stored in a database, and correlated to determine commonalities. In response to identifying at least one commonality a determination is made, based on the at least one commonality, that the registered user and the anonymous user are a single user. The database is updated to include a unified listener identifier (ULID) that links the registered user ID with the anonymous user ID.

  • Patent number: 11710292
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method and system for real time ROI detection in thermal face images based on a heuristic approach. The ROI of the thermal images, once detected, is then further used to detect temperature of a subject corresponding to the ROI. Unlike state of the art techniques, the heuristic approach is computationally less intensive and provides fast and accurate ROI detection even in case of occluded faces in a crowd with a single thermal image having a plurality of subject being scanned. The heuristics applied does not focus on face detection but directly on point of interest detection. Once the point of interest (ROI) is detected, it may be used for plurality of applications such as subject tracking and the like, not limited to subject or object temperature sensing since the method disclosed herein is easily implementable on low power devices.

  • Patent number: 11711264
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for network strengthening, such as by detecting issues with one or more network components and reconfiguring one or more upstream or downstream network components to preempt issues with the one or more upstream or downstream network components, for instance. Some embodiments are particularly directed to a tool (e.g., strengthening agent) that implements pre-scripted or dynamic hardening of up and downstream dependencies of a network component in response to an issue identified with the network component. In many embodiments, up and downstream components of a network component may be reconfigured while the issue with the network component is being addressed to preempt issues with the up and downstream components.

  • Patent number: 11708755
Abstract: A drilling system, assembly, and method may help optimize drilling in a system that involves more than one rotary tool that engages the formation. A rotary tool may be a rotary cutting tool, such as a drill bit or reamer, or some other rotary tool (e.g. stabilizer or rotary steerable tool) that has the potential to drag on the wall of the hole being drilled and take energy away from cutting. In an example, a wellbore or portion thereof is formed by rotating a first rotary cutting tool having a first cutting structure in engagement with one portion of the formation together with a second rotary cutting tool having a second cutting structure in engagement with another portion of the formation. Forces are obtained above and below the second cutting structure. One or more drilling parameter or drill bit design parameter are adjusted in relation to a force differential between the forces above and below the second cutting structure.
