  • Patent number: 11634959
Abstract: A setting module for setting a packer assembly in a wellbore can include a motor, a sensor, and an electronic control device. The sensor can detect pressure of fluid from a surface of the wellbore in an inner diameter of the setting module and output detected pressure to an electronic control device. The electronic control device can detect a triggering pressure sequence of the fluid from the surface and can, in response to detecting the triggered pressure sequence, output a command to the motor to drive a pump to cause a slip to move for setting the packer assembly.

  • Patent number: 11636470
Abstract: A method includes a validation computer receiving an authorization request message comprising a user state and a user proof from a user device. The user state comprises first and second user state elements. The user proof comprises first, second, and third user proof elements. The validation computer computes a first verification value by multiplying the first user proof element raised to the power of the second user state element, and the second user proof element raised to the power of the first user state element. The computer computes a second verification value by raising the second user proof element to the power of the second user state element. The computer compares the first verification value to a first accumulated state element of an accumulated state. The compares the second verification value to a second accumulated state element. The validation computer authorizes the authorization request message based on the comparison steps.

  • Patent number: 11637826
Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to performing an authentication persistence check and, based on the check, allowing a previously successful authentication to persist on a user apparatus. The check may involve a stability check on the user apparatus. If the user apparatus is stable, device fingerprinting on the apparatus may be performed, the result of which may be compared to a snapshot of apparatus taken at the time of successful authentication. If the comparison reveals changes or drifts that are within a predetermined threshold, then the persistence of the authentication is allowed.

  • Patent number: 11634983
Abstract: Systems and methods for wireless telemetry in oil and gas wells use fluid pressure differentials to send signals from surface equipment to a downhole tool. More specifically, the methods and systems selectively apply fluid pressure to a tubing string and measure the resulting mechanical strain, or deformation, on a tubular of the downhole tool. The deformation may be an elastic deformation or it may be a plastic deformation with yielding of the tubular. One or more of such strains or deformations may be used to encode a digital signal that can command an action on the tool. The strain or deformation may be measured by a low-cost strain gauge.

  • Patent number: 11636439
Abstract: Techniques to apply machine learning to schedule events of interest for a device user. As described herein, a typical device user is inundated with information suggesting activities and other things to do. Using these techniques, the information is categorized according to the activity and those activities that are most likely to be engaged in by the device user are recommended to the device user (via their device) as events of interest. If the device user selects an event of interest, the device is updated to reflect that selection. For instance, a calendar application may be updated to include an event description at the event's date and time. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11635337
Abstract: A pump monitoring system for use in wellbore operations can determine whether an indication of a failure is due to an actual pump issue or a failed sensor. The pump monitoring system includes a sensor on a fluid end of a pump to measure properties associated with the pump and a vibration detector. A computing device executes instructions to receive the sensor signal and the vibration signal and identify an irregularity in the sensor signal. The processor then determines whether an operational signal component is present in the vibration signal, and displays an indication that the sensor has failed when the operational signal component is not present in the vibration signal. If the operational signal component is present in the vibration signal, the irregularity is likely caused by a pump problem such as a failed valve.
