The projector sets a displayable region with a shape according to an aspect ratio and a resolution of the projection image. The projector converts coordinates of the displayable region into coordinates in a screen coordinate system, and generates a rectangular area with a desired aspect ratio in a region corresponding to the displayable region in the screen coordinate system and a portion included in a projecting range. The projector converts the coordinates of a rectangular area into coordinates of a range corresponding to the rectangular area in the panel coordinate system, forms an image in a range corresponding to the rectangular area, and projects the projection image on the screen.

    Abstract: A lamp holding apparatus for mounting a lamp to a base member includes a mounting plate having a pair of locking portions protruding to a base side. The abutting portions are provided at three spots with one of the locking portions interposed therebetween. At the time of mounting, each of the abutting portions abut the base, and the mounting plate is elastically deformed so as to be warped, whereby the locking surface of the locking portion is kept in the state in which it is locked to a peripheral edge of a back side of the mounting hole by its elastic force.

    Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device has a semiconductor light-emitting element for emitting light with emission wavelengths of 390 to 420 nm, wherein the wavelengths of light from the semiconductor light-emitting element are converted by a fluorescent substance having a monochromatic emission peak. The emission wavelengths of 390 to 420 nm, which have almost no adverse effect on human bodies and components of the semiconductor light-emitting device, are in a low human visibility range. Since light whose wavelengths are converted by the fluorescent substance are hardly affected by direct light from the semiconductor light-emitting element, light from the fluorescent substance has a favorable color tone. Also, the semiconductor light-emitting device allows desired luminous colors to be obtained only by changing fluorescent substance materials without changing the structure of the semiconductor light-emitting device or the semiconductor light-emitting element.
