  • Patent number: 7623733
Abstract: An image combination device acquires a first object image, a second object image, and a background image by first object image acquiring section (1), second object image acquiring section (3), and background image acquiring section (2) and by using one of the three images as a standard image, generates two corrected images by background correction amount calculating section (4) and corrected image generating section (5), so that background portions of the two images correspond. Superimposed image generating section (9) generates an image by superimposing the standard image and one or two of the corrected images. According to this arrangement, since the backgrounds of the superimposed images correspond to each other, the first object and the second object, which have been photographed separately, can be combined without causing an impression that these objects are combined to the background artificially.

  • Publication number: 20090284584
Abstract: To provide an image processing device which, when synthesizing an image into a 3D image, realizes image synthesis free from artifacts by taking parallax of 3D image into consideration, and suppresses deterioration of image quality at block encoding. An image processing device 1 receives a left-eye image obtained from the viewpoint corresponding to the left eye and a right-eye image obtained from the viewpoint corresponding to the right eye as input, determines the transparency of an object to be synthesized into the left-eye image and right-eye image by transparency determining means 3, based on the parallax information from a parallax detecting means 2 that detects parallax information and the positional information from a positioning means 5, and further determines the synthesized position of the object by an adjusting means 32 so that it aligns with the boundaries of encoding blocks, to thereby achieve synthesis of the object into the left-eye image and right-eye image.

  • Patent number: 7620713
Abstract: Control commands are sent from communication stations (A, B) to devices (D to F), such as a VTR, connected to a communication station (C) via radio networks (NW) provided between the communication stations (A, B) and the communication station (C), thereby controlling the devices (D to F). As a result, video signals outputted from the devices (D to F) via analog wirings (W) are sent from the communication station (C) to the communication stations (A, B) so that videos based on the video signals are displayed in display devices (A11, B11) via the communication stations (A, B). In the communication station (C), identifiers for specifying controllers (A1, B1) which have sent the control commands to the communication stations (A, B) and identifiers for specifying the devices (D to F) controlled are made to respectively correspond to each other, and are stored so that a controller which can be allowed to control is specified.

  • Patent number: 7618768
Abstract: By using an existing, relatively inexpensive manufacturing device, micropatterns (e.g. guiding grooves, prepits) having such track pitch and pit pitch that are smaller than the diameter of a light spot are formed more finely. There are provided at least two layers, i.e. (i) a resin substrate and (ii) a depressed part inducing layer made of dielectric material or metal oxide. A light beam is radiated and focused onto the depressed part inducing layer so as to form pit parts and/or guiding grooves on irradiated parts of the resin substrate. The depressed part inducing layer is then removed, so as to expose the pit parts and/or guiding grooves.

  • Patent number: 7618039
Abstract: In a sheet detecting sensor, light emitted from a linear light emitting element is blocked by a sheet from entering a light receiving element which is located immediately below the sheet. Only light receiving elements which are not immediately below the sheet, receive light from the linear light emitting element. Light passing through a point in a vicinity of an edge portion of the sheet enters only a light receiving element which is located immediately below that point, but not the other light receiving elements. In addition, even when the position of a sheet varies vertically, the same light receiving element receives light passing through the same point in a vicinity of the edge portion of the sheet. Therefore, even when the position of a sheet varies vertically, the edge position of the sheet can be accurately detected.
