Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting element includes a substrate and a semiconductor stack portion provided on the substrate and having at least a first-conductivity-type semiconductor layer, a light-emitting layer, and a second-conductivity-type semiconductor layer. The substrate has a property to allow transmission of light from the light-emitting layer, and has a hexahedral shape including a first surface on which a semiconductor stack portion is provided, a second surface located opposite to the first surface, a pair of third surfaces orthogonal to the first surface and the second surface, and a pair of fourth surfaces orthogonal to the first surface and the second surface and different from the pair of third surfaces.
Abstract: A heat cooking device comprises a casing, a heating chamber, and an exhaust duct having an outlet provided on a rear edge side of an upper surface of the casing such that exhaust air from an inside of the casing is blown out forward. An upper outer wall surface of a rear surface plate of the casing is covered by the exhaust duct to form an exhaust passage between the casing and the exhaust duct. A guidance part is provided inside the exhaust passage, and guides the water infiltrating into the exhaust passage through the outlet of the exhaust duct, downward inside the exhaust passage.
Abstract: A home-appliance system is provided that may alleviate user's stress or fatigue. The interactive home-appliance system includes an utterance unit, a voice input unit for accepting input of a reply to voice, a storage unit for storing an assessment criterion for assessing stress or fatigue based on conversation with an utterer and data for outputting voice alleviating stress or fatigue, a determination unit for determining the utterer's stress or fatigue based on the assessment criterion and the reply, and a drive mechanism for performing an operation for assisting in the utterer's life. The utterance unit is configured to output an utterance based on the determination result and the data.
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a heat storage capsule capable of being readily produced and a heat storage member using the same. A heat storage capsule 10 includes a heat storage material 20 reversibly changing into a hydrate of a salt and an aqueous solution of the salt and also includes a capsule coating 22 encapsulating the heat storage material 20. The capsule coating 22 includes an inner sub-coating 24 and an outer sub-coating 26. The inner sub-coating 24 is a hydrogenated oil layer. The outer sub-coating 26 is made of a hydrophilic gel. The heat storage capsule 10 has a W/O/W three-layer structure.

Abstract: A scanning module (9) is disposed over a first plate (32). A first motor (39) of moving the scanning module (9) in a second scanning direction and a second motor (49) of moving the scanning module (9) in a first scanning direction are disposed under the first plate (32). In this manner, the first motor (39) and the second motor (49) being a heat source are disposed on a side opposite to a scanning module (9) side using the first plate (32) as a boundary, and thus a transferred amount of heat from the first motor (39) and the second motor (49) to the scanning module (9) decreases. As a result, accuracy of fluorescence detection is prevented from degrading due to thermal distortion of a detection optical system in the scanning module (9).

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a columnar spacer. The first substrate includes a pixel electrode, a TFT, and an interlayer insulating layer. The second substrate includes first, second and third color filters arranged in a delta arrangement. Each pixel has a substantially polygonal shape with n vertices (where n is an integer and n?8) or a substantially circular shape. The TFT and the columnar spacer are arranged in a first tricolor boundary region. A contact hole cut through the interlayer insulating layer is arranged in a second tricolor boundary region. Two of three pixels that define the first tricolor boundary region also define the second tricolor boundary region, but the remaining pixel is arranged at a different location.
