  • Patent number: 8780130
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for binding attributes between visual components. A first visual component, including a first presentation space for presenting first data by an operating first application, is detected. Binding information, for the first application, is identified that specifies a mapping between a first visual attribute of the first visual component and a second visual attribute of a second visual component including a second presentation space for presenting second data by a second application. A change to the first visual attribute is detected. In response to the detection of the change, change information is automatically sent to change the second visual attribute according to the mapping.

  • Patent number: 8666603
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for providing steering-control feedback to an operator of an automotive vehicle. First attribute information is received that identifies a first attribute of a first operator coupling of an operator, of an automotive vehicle, to a steering-control mechanism of the automotive vehicle. A specified steering-control criterion is detected as met based on the first attribute. Feedback information is identified based on the steering-control criterion. In response to the detecting, the feedback information is sent to present, via an output device, a feedback indicator to the operator.

  • Patent number: 8579627
Abstract: A method is provided for controlling the feed of a combustible gas by a valve device placed in a feed pipe which has a gas inlet section and a gas outlet section. The device includes a valve seat in the pipe associated with a membrane-operated plug and a device for returning the plug to a position in which the valve seat is shut off. The method includes the steps of creating a pressure difference in a section of the pipe downstream of the plug with respect to the direction of flow, by a constriction in the pipe having a predetermined cross section, the pressure difference being defined by a first pressure upstream of the constriction and a second pressure downstream of the constriction; collecting the signal formed by the second pressure downstream of the constriction and making the second pressure act on the side of the membrane opposite that on which the first pressure acts; and generating a regulatable load on the membrane of the membrane operating system.

  • Patent number: 8479759
Abstract: A device for controlling a combustible gas supply to a burner is provided, which includes first and second servovalves, having respective valve seats associated with a corresponding shut-off mechanism, which include respective first and second control solenoid valves with an electromagnetic operating device that controls the opening/closing of the corresponding servovalve. The solenoid valves act to indirectly control the corresponding servovalve's respective shut-off mechanism. The pipes of the control are in communication with the main pipe through an auxiliary bleed pipe. A pilot pipe is branched from the auxiliary pipe to supply a pilot burner, and a thermoelectric magnetic unit with a knob is provided on the auxiliary pipe, which allows gas to flow towards the pilot burner when the unit is activated, while simultaneously shutting off the flow of gas towards the servovalve control circuit. The device includes a control mechanism, controlled by the knob, which controls gas flow.

  • Patent number: 8380063
Abstract: The invention relates to a network of switched optical fiber for airplane seats. The network connects the screens of the seats to each other and to a server via an optical fiber. The network includes optical switches of the MEMS type including mirrors, said switches being provided perpendicular to each seat. Each switch delivers the light beam in the optical fiber to the screen with which it is connected and re-amplifies it in the optical fiber when it is powered, while the switch directly delivers the light beam to the following seat when it is not powered.
