Abstract: A passenger seat for a conveyance, comprising a frame (2), which is fixed to a floor (3) of the conveyance (20), and a backrest (5), which is connected to the frame (2). On the rear of the backrest (5) is mounted a folding seat (7), which has a sitting portion (10), and which is mounted on the backrest (5), thus enabling the folding seat (7) to be tilted about a first axis of rotation (8) between a folded up position and a folded down position. The folding seat (7) has a frist eccentric portion (11), which is eccentric relative to the first axis of rotation (8). The frame (2) has a second eccentric portion (12) which is eccentric relative to a second axis of rotation (6). The backrest (5) is mounted on the frame (2), thus enabling it to be tilted about the second axis of rotation (6) between a rear position and a front position. The passenger seat (1) comprises a rod (15), whose end portions are hinged to the first eccentric portion (11) and the second eccentric portion (12) respectively.

  • Patent number: 6820480
Abstract: A device for measuring the flow-rate of gas in a duct, particularly for burners. The device includes a gas flow-rate sensor generating a first output signal proportional to the flow-rate detected, a temperature-compensation circuit receiving the first output signal and generating a second output signal proportional to the gas flow-rate detected by the sensor and independent of the temperature of the gas and/or the flow-rate sensor. The compensation circuit has a temperature sensor. The device also includes a calibration circuit receiving the second output signal. The calibration circuit generates a third output signal proportional to the gas flow-rate detected and independent of structural parameters of the flow-rate sensor and/or of the temperature sensor so that the third output signal is correlated with the flow-rate detected and independent of the temperature of the gas, the temperature of the flow-rate sensor, and the structural parameters of the flow-rate sensor.

  • Patent number: 6745725
Abstract: A knob adjustment device, particularly for adjusting the temperature in valve units of a water-heating apparatus. The knob adjustment device is mounted so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis in a stationary housing of the valve unit and has a safety member for the unidirectional restraint of the knob adjustment device relative to the housing so as to oppose rotation of the knob adjustment device in a first direction of rotation about the axis, the knob adjustment device being free to rotate in the opposite direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 6663174
Abstract: A passenger chair which can be converted into a child chair, including a floor frame, a passenger back rest with side members which are linked with rear side portions of the frame for tilting the passenger back rest backwards and forwards, the passenger back rest having a first flap the top of which is linked with an upper portion of the passenger back rest and a second flap with a first end portion which is linked with a lower end portion of the first flap. The passenger chair has a mechanism which, when the passenger back rest is moved forwards, effects a forcible rotation of the second flap to an approximately horizontal position, while at the same time the first flap is moved forwards. The first flap thereby forms a back rest and the second flap a seat of a child chair which faces in the opposite direction relative to the passenger chair.

  • Patent number: 6029770
Abstract: A sound damping element contains an inner wall and an outer wall, between which a cavity filled with absorption material is present, which are joined to one another. At longitudinal edges of the element, bent-away profile portions are disposed so that a junction with a similarly configured adjacent sound damping element can be made. The sound damping element is to be improved such that, with low production and material cost, a seal for preventing gas from passing through the element is achieved. Easy manipulation in assembly is possible, and the individual sound damping elements can be joined together without problems and, if necessary, separated from one another. At least one profile portion has a section such that at least a portion of a chamber is formed. At least in the portion of this chamber, a sealing element is disposed. Sealing is accomplished by this sealing element with respect to the adjacent second sound damping element.

  • Patent number: 5098089
Abstract: A computer-controlled exercise sit up machine has a frame supporting a bed on which a user may rest his or her body, knee support posts for resting the user's knees, and foot rest support posts for receiving the user's feet and ankles. The exercise sit up machine has a triangular-shaped housing which acts as a fulcrum for pivoting the frame about a transverse axis so that the bed is inclined to a position where the user performs sit ups with the head at a higher vertical level than the feet. A computer controls a motor housed in the triangular-shaped housing for pivoting the frame about the fulcrum. The user may select a desired sit up routine. The computer then operates the machine through the chosen sit up routine and calculates and displays a sit up coefficient score to apprise the user of his or her performance.
