  • Patent number: 7103974
Abstract: A process for mounting an outer bearing ring involves press fitting a stamp into the outer ring so that the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring assumes the shape of the stamp. Using the stamp, the outer ring is then press fitted into the recess of a machine part so that the contour of the external peripheral surface of the outer ring is plastically molded through axial stretching into the machine part. To mount an inner ring, a stamp with a bore is press fitted onto the inner ring so that the inner peripheral surface of the inner ring pressing against the stamp assumes the shape of the bore of the stamp. Using the stamp, the inner ring is then press fitted onto the machine part and the contour of the inner peripheral surface of the inner ring is plastically molded through axial flow forming into the machine part.

  • Publication number: 20060196065
Abstract: A device is provided for measuring roundness of a mechanical object even if the mechanical object performs an orbit movement. The orbital movement and the surface roundness are separated. It is even possible to divide the orbital movement into an x component and a y component. The measurement is accomplished in a single measurement. After measuring it is possible to decide what to indicate: the orbit of the mechanical object, the deviation from a nominally round surface, or the combination of both. This is possible since once the data has been obtained it is then possible to use the data once or a number of times to indicate the orbit of the mechanical object, the deviation from a nominally round surface, or the combination of both.

  • Patent number: 7097696
Abstract: An air dryer system including two substantially identical canister-type air dryer units. Each includes a moist air inlet, a first desiccant, a dry air outlet, and means for supplying dry air to a storage facility. The system also includes a bleed valve supplying a small portion of the dry air to regenerate a second desiccant, and a first moist air purge valve. The system operates in the opposite mode and supplies air to a storage facility. Located between the moist air inlets and the desiccants are a pair of air-oil separators.
