Abstract: Provided is an assay method using an encoded particle-based platform. In the assay method, first, a plurality of encoded particles having codes distinguishable from one another according to kinds of included target materials are prepared. The plurality of encoded particles are provided onto a plate including a plurality of wells by pipetting, and disposed in the plurality of wells by a self-assembly method. An analyte is provided into the plurality of wells. The codes of the plurality of encoded particles disposed in the plurality of wells are decoded. The target materials of the plurality of encoded particles are released to cause a reaction between the target materials and the analyte.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for collecting amniotic fluid from the uterus. In order to collect the amniotic fluid from the uterus through the external orifice of the cervix of a pregnant woman, an amniotic fluid collecting unit is adapted to bring a mouth, which is foldably formed at the upper end of an amniotic fluid collecting bag, into close contact with an end of the external orifice of the cervix. Thereby, the apparatus not only significantly decreases the risk occurring when a needle is directly inserted into the uterus in order to carry out the amniocentesis (amniotic fluid testing), but also eliminates pain and anxiety caused by the direct insertion of the needle.

Abstract: This application relates to a novel benzo-heterocycle derivative and more particularly, it relates a composition for preventing and treating cancer or for inhibiting metastasis comprising benzo-heterocycle derivative or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof as an active ingredient. The present inventors confirmed that KRS has an effect on cancer metastasis by facilitating cancer (or tumor) cell migration through interaction with 67LR, and also found that a substance inhibiting the interaction between KRS and 67LR can prevent and treat cancer by inhibiting cancer cell metastasis. Accordingly, the composition of the present invention can inhibit cancer metastasis, and thus provide a novel means for prevention and treatment of cancer.

Abstract: A method for measuring human intelligence using a neurobiogical model is provided. The method enables neurometric IQ to be measured by processing MRI and fMRI images of a subject to determine cortical thicknesses and brain activation level, determining structural IQ (sIQ) and functional IQ (fIQ) from the determined cortical thicknesses and brain activation level, and using the structural IQ (sIQ) and the functional IQ (fIQ) as predictors to measure the neurometric IQ of the subject. With this, individual differences in general cognitive ability can be easily assessed. It suggests that general cognitive ability can be explained by two different neural bases or traits: facilitation of neural circuits and accumulation of crystallized knowledge.

Abstract: Provided is a data reception error reduction system and method in acoustic communication in audible frequency range, and an apparatus applied thereto. The data reception error reduction system in the acoustic communication in audible frequency range may be configured to reduce a data reception error in a receiver by taking into consideration that a sound signal is noisy and is significantly affected by a change in the ambient environment when the acoustic communication is performed in the audio frequency band through modification of an audio signal or adding of a predetermined signal to an audio signal. Accordingly, the data reception error may be reduced in the receiver even in an environment where a sound signal is noisy and is significantly affected by a change in the ambient environment, and reliability of data transmission may increase.

Abstract: The present invention relates to apolipoprotein A-1 mimic peptides, and therapeutic agent for treating hyperlipidemia and diseases related to hyperlipidemia comprising the same. More specifically, the apolipoprotein A-1 mimic peptides of the present invention were manufactured by modifying hydrophilic or hydrophobic face of existing 4F amphipathic peptides to produce Apo A-I mimic peptides which specifically bind with cholesterol ester to allow high density lipoprotein content to increase, and the peptide of which phenylalanine in hydrophobic face of 4F is substituted with 2-naphthylalanine has superior cholesterol efflux capability and cognitive function for lipids to the existing 4F peptides, among the mimic peptides. Thus, the Apo A-I mimic peptides of the present invention can be used as Apo A-I mimic peptides and as a therapeutic agent for treating hyperlipidemia and diseases related to hyperlipidemia.

Abstract: A system and method for exactly estimating a volume of traffic is provided when packets are transferred within the network. The system and method receive data packets from clients through a plurality of router-for-clients, and creating a flow information packet for estimating information about a flow, transfer the data packets and the created flow information packet to the destination router-for-client via a router-for-relay, calculate information about the traffic of a flow at the destination router-for-client through the flow information packets transferred from the router-for-clients, and estimate a volume of the traffic. Thus, the system and method can estimate the volume of the traffic on the network with respect to the aggregated flow defined by the router pair connected to the terminal or the external network when the traffic is actually introduced into the network, instead of the flows of each terminal and each destination.
