Abstract: An image processing apparatus is configured for compressing image data by combining spatial frequency conversion, quantization, and entropy coding. The apparatus includes a block division section, a spatial frequency conversion section, a quantization section, an encoding section, and a selection section. Abstract: A low voltage bandgap reference circuit includes a positive temperature coefficient circuit unit, a negative temperature coefficient circuit unit and a load unit, wherein the positive temperature coefficient circuit unit comprises a first differential operational amplifier, a first, second and third transistor, a first resistor, a first and second diode, and the negative temperature coefficient circuit unit includes a second differential operational amplifier, a fourth, fifth and sixth transistor, a second resistor and a third diode. The low voltage bandgap reference circuit provides a current having a positive temperature coefficient characteristics and a current having a negative temperature coefficient characteristics to flow through the load in order to generate a stable reference voltage less affected by the temperature. Therefore, it avoids the problems of the low voltage bandgap reference circuit that can not be activated at low voltage.
Abstract: A curl correcting device includes a first roller, a second roller and a supporting unit. The supporting unit includes a first conveyance path and a second conveyance path. The first roller is rotated about a first rotary shaft and elastically deformable. The second roller is rotated about a second rotary shaft and elastically deforms the first roller by being pressed against the first roller, thereby forming a curved nip portion between the first and second rollers. The supporting unit is rotatable about a third rotary shaft and rotatably supports the first and second rollers. The first conveyance path communicates with the sheet conveyance path by the supporting unit being arranged at a first position about the third rotary shaft. The second conveyance path communicates with the sheet conveyance path by the supporting unit being arranged at a second position about the third rotary shaft.

Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes an apparatus main body with a wall portion, a sheet conveyance path, a conveyor roller pair, an opening/closing unit and a cleaning unit. The conveyor roller pair includes a first roller and a second roller. The opening/closing unit is openable and closable relative to the apparatus main body. The opening/closing unit defines a part of the sheet conveyance path and brings the first roller into contact with the second roller in a closed state. The opening/closing unit separates the first roller from the second roller in an open state. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning member and a support frame. The cleaning member cleans a surface of the second roller. The support frame supports the cleaning member and moves the cleaning member toward and away from the surface of the second roller in association with the movements of the opening/closing unit.
Abstract: A printing system includes an image forming apparatus and a management server connected via a network. The image forming apparatus reads a card ID of a user of the image forming apparatus from the ID card, accepts non-card authentication information, transmits an authentication request, including the card ID, to the management server, and, if an unsuccessful authentication result is transmitted from the management server, transmits a card registration request, including the non-card authentication information, to the management server. The management server transmits a successful authentication result or the unsuccessful authentication result to the image forming apparatus according to whether the card ID has been registered in correspondence to the user, registers the non-card authentication information in correspondence to the user, and if the non-card authentication information has been registered in correspondence to the user, registers the card ID in correspondence to the user.
