Abstract: An image forming device includes: a secondary transfer roller configured to secondarily transfer a toner image transferred to an intermediate transfer belt, to a transfer paper; separating plates; and a power supply circuit configured to apply bias voltages to the separating plates. The separating plates are configured to separate the transfer paper from the intermediate transfer belt when the bias voltages are applied to the separating plates. The separating plates include two or more separating plates installed along a direction perpendicular to the transfer paper conveying direction. The bias voltages are applied to the separating plates independently of each other depending on a toner amount distribution of the toner image transferred to the transfer paper, in the direction perpendicular to the transfer paper conveying direction.
Abstract: A wireless communication system is provided that comprises a base station (BS) serving a subscriber unit (SU) in a Public Safety Narrowband (PSNB) network, an eNodeB serving the SU in a broadband data network, and a network element of the PSNB network that is in communication with the BS and that identifies the eNodeB to the BS. In response to the identification of the eNodeB, the BS informs the eNodeB, via an interface between a radio access network (RAN) of the PSNB network and a RAN of the broadband data network, of an initiation of a voice session in the PSNB network involving the SU and of PSNB network resources allocated to the session. In response to being informed of the initiation of the session and the allocated PSNB network resources, the eNodeB avoids allocation of resources to the SU that are spectrally proximate to the allocated PSNB network resources.

Abstract: A system and method for adjusting the coherence length of a tunable laser to optimize measurements and reduce artifacts. A tuning element of the laser system modulates, adjusts, or controls parameters associate with the tunable laser, such that the output wavelength of the tunable laser is modulated or adjusted over a wavelength range within a time interval. Modulation of the parameter has the effect of increasing a linewidth of the tunable laser.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a roller pair, a paper dust collecting member, a scraping member, and a paper dust receiver. The paper dust collecting member can be drawn out from the apparatus main body and is disposed along an axis direction of the roller pair so as to collect paper dust adhered to one roller of the roller pair. The scraping member scrapes off paper dust adhered to the paper dust collecting member when the paper dust collecting member is moved in a draw-out direction. The paper dust receiver is disposed below the scraping member so as to receive the paper dust scraped off by the scraping member.
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel software application to retain a plurality of non-committed computerized workflows with pertinent data and states for the purpose of pausing or exiting the workflow and continuing from exact state at a later time or on another computing device. A session folder was developed to address the problem of how to manage a plurality of work-in-process, including data entry forms, database queries and other application functions, for users who must work in an environment of frequent interruptions and who need to work on two or more items at a time. This is a problem faced by users of enterprise software applications and other Web applications. Several embodiments are described.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an attachment member and a toner case. The toner case has a discharge port openable and closable by a shutter mechanism. The shutter mechanism has a first shutter member and a second shutter member. The first shutter member closes the discharge port in a condition in which the toner case is detached from the attachment member, and opens the discharge port in a condition in which the toner case is attached to the attachment member. The second shutter member covers the back side edge portion of the communication port with which the discharge port is communicated in a condition in which the toner case is detached from the attachment member, and exposes the back side edge portion of the communication port in a condition in which the toner case is attached to the attachment member.
Abstract: A speaker bar for a tablet computer is presented. The speaker bar is sized to fit inside a cover of the tablet computer by folding or rolling the speaker bar inside the cover. The speaker bar has retractable speaker members that extend outward beyond the edges of the speaker bar housing along a longitudinal axis of the speaker bar. Power is provided to the speaker bar when the retractable members are extended, and the power is turned off when the retractable members are retracted. The speaker bar connects to a tablet computer via Bluetooth wireless connection.
Abstract: An apparatus for writing data to and dispensing one or more of solid-state devices is enclosed. A preferred device herein comprises a write port engageable with a solid-state storage device within a chamber via a hopper. The chamber is further provided for holding the solid-state storage device as the solid-state storage device engages with the write port. Additionally a transfer assembly is provided for moving the solid-state storage device from the chamber to dispense the solid-state storage device.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a conductive member, a bias application device, and a control portion. The image bearing member has a photosensitive layer formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof. The conductive member is disposed so as to make contact with an inner peripheral surface of the image bearing member and has a dielectric property. Abstract: A toner for electrostatic latent image development, containing toner particles composed of toner core particle containing at least a binder resin and a shell layer coating the toner core particle. Average circularities D4 to D7 of toner particles within predetermined particle diameter ranges are each no less than 0.960, the difference (Dmax?Dmin) between a maximum value Dmax among D4 to D7 and a minimum value Dmin among D4 to D7 is no greater than 0.015. The shell layer is smoothened to a predetermined level. And, cracks in a direction approximately perpendicular to a surface of the toner core particles are observable inside the shell layer when cross-section of the toner particle is observed using a transmission electron microscope.
Abstract: The present application discloses a developing device including a housing having a connection surface to which the container connects. The connection surface is provided with a feed port for feeding the developer. The developing device includes a shutter mechanism configured to selectively open and close the feed port. The shutter mechanism includes a shutter piece, which moves between a closing position for closing the feed port and an opening position for opening the feed port, and a squeezing mechanism, which protrudes from the shutter piece situated in the closing position to squeeze the developer into the housing through the feed port.
Abstract: A cleaning device includes a cleaning portion and a pressing portion. The cleaning portion comes into contact with an image carrier that is adapted to carry a toner image. The pressing portion includes a clamping surface and a protruding portion and presses the cleaning portion against the image carrier. The clamping surface clamps the cleaning portion from both sides in cooperation with the image carrier. The protruding portion protrudes from the clamping surface toward the image carrier.
Abstract: A method, system, and device consolidate unicast downlinks in a broadband radio access network (RAN) for a requested group call. A subset of subscriber devices of the group in sufficiently close proximity is detected, one subscriber device in the subset is selected to act as a subscriber device to subscriber device broadcast downlink repeater (SD-BDR), and group call data is transmitted to each subscriber not in a subset via a separate unicast downlink, and to each subset via a single outbound unicast link to the selected subscriber device. The selected SD-BDR in each subset then re-broadcasts the group call data to the other members of the subset, thereby reducing outbound broadband resource usage in the broadband RAN.
